Tochallengeadatafield,clickonit.Thiswillopenadialogforprovidinganewvalue.

1. SimplefieldslikeEntityStatuscanbechallengedbyproposingonlyonenewvalue.

2. ComplexfieldssuchasExpiration(includingareasonplusadate)requireyoutoenterallmandatoryvalues.

3. SomefieldssuchasBICCodecannotbechallenged.Theyarehighlighteddifferently.

1. Provideanewvalue(differentfromtheoldvalue)– mandatory.

2. Addcommentexplainingthisproposal– optional.

3. Click“Save”tokeepyourproposalandreturntothedataoverview.

4. Ifyoudonotwishtokeepyourproposal,orifyoucannotprovidethemandatoryinformation,clickthe“X”toreturntothedataoverview(withoutkeepinganyoftheproposedchanges).

1. ProvideALLmandatoryinformationforthisfield.E.g.youMUSTprovideBOTHa“Date”anda“Reason”toproposeanew“Expiration”value.

2. Click“Save”tokeepyourproposalandreturntothedataoverview.

3. Ifyoudonotwishtokeepyourproposal,orifyoucannotprovidethemandatoryinformation,clickthe“X”toreturntothedataoverview(withoutkeepinganyoftheproposedchanges).

§ ChallengingfieldsintheRelationshipdetailwillopenacomplexdialog(seenextslide).

1. Changetotherelationshiprecordtypeifneeded.ThisenableseditingfordifferentsectionsoftheParentRelationshipdetails.

2. ProposenewvaluesfortheParentRelationship.

3. Alternatively,proposenewvaluesfortheParentReportingException.

4. Addacomment(optional).

5. Saveyourchangesandreturntothepreviouspage.

6. Orexitwithoutsaving.

ChallengeLEICode

The“ChallengeLEICode”taballowsyoutoinformtheLEIIssueraboutissueswiththeLEIregistration.

1. ThereisanotherLEIregisteredforthisentity.

§ YouwillbepromptedtoprovidetheLEIoftheotherregistrationforthisentity.

2. TheentityassuchisnotallowedtohaveanLEI.

§ YouwillbepromptedtoprovideanexplanationwhythisentitywouldnotbeeligibleforanLEI.

Savechanges

Whenyoucompletedupdatingtherecord,onthebottomofthepageyoucan

1. “Savechanges”toproceedtothefinalsubmissionstage,or

2. “Cancel”toexitchallengeview.Allchangeswillbelost.

Challengesummary

1. Reviewchangestospecificdatafields.

Foreachchallengedfield,theoriginalvalue,theproposednewvalueandthecomment(optional)willbedisplayed.

2. Uploadafileasevidenceinsupportofyourproposedchanges.Thisisanoptionalstep.Onlycertainfiletypesareallowed.

3. Add“Supportingtext”explainingtheproposedchanges.Thisismandatoryandcanalsobeusedtoprovideevidence.

4. Click“ReviseChallenge”ifyouwanttomakechangesortocancelthechallenge.Click“SubmitChallenge”tofinalizethechallengeandsendittotheLEIIssuer.

Aftersubmittingachallenge

§ TheLegalEntityIdentifier(LEI)issuingorganizationwhomanagesthechallengedLEIdatawillreceiveyourchallenge.

§ Youwillreceiveasummaryandconfirmationofyourchallengeviaemail.

§ IftheLEIissuingorganizationhasquestionsregardingyourchallenge,theLEIissuermaycontactyouforclarificationattheprovidedemailaddress.

§ TheLEIIssuerisexpectedtoprocessyourchallengewithin10businessdays.Youwillreceivearesponseattheprovidedemailaddressoncethechallengeisresolved.
