Wee k beginning 27th April Hello everyone! Here is our work plan for the week ahead. Like last week, I have 6 recommended activities that your daughter work through if she can each day. Your daughter also has the option of completing the challenges. I just want to say again that these challenges are extra, and are only if your daughter is looking for something else to do. I know remote learning can be tricky, so I don’t want to overload anybody or put extra stress on your family.

Every day I recommend that the tasks below are completed:

Mon Tues Wed Thurs Fri

One day of MM Week 28 and Problem Solving

Watch a short cartoon on Cúla 4

Read a book of choice (approx. 15 – 20 minutes)

Practice tables using Tables Champion Week 29

Handwriting (three times a week)

Note:

This week, I would love for your daughter to get set up on readtheory.org. Read Theory is a website that allows your child to read short texts at their level and then answer questions based on the text. Once your daughter creates a student account and enters the class code, they will be taken to a pre-test which will determine their level. Here, they will answer 8 questions. After that, they can read texts at their level and answer the comprehension questions. I will be able to monitor daughter’s progress from here. Our class code is: NXBKFU2U.

For handwriting, the girls have the choice to write whatever they would like. Some suggestions that I recommend:

Write a diary entry based on one of the characters in the book that you are reading at the moment.

Describe someone who is a hero to you and why. Gratitude List: write a list of 15 things that make you feel good and happy.

This week would have been active week in school where we would have been doing lots of activities together! So this week, we will have #ActiveHomeWeek. This week, I am encouraging you to get creative with your exercise. Any activity you do during the day, however long or short, record it on a chart like the one below and tot up your total time.
