GENERAL RULES GOVERNING THESE SHOWS AND TRIALS 1. The Club reserves the right to remove any person from the show. The Show Superintendent shall have full control of the above shows and trials, which will be governed by CKC rules. 2. Any dog excused by the Show Superintendent or the Show Veterinarian for any reason shall not, after being excused, compete in any class for any award for the balance of the show. Any female excused because of being in season shall not be allowed to compete in any class for any award. 3. The show committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. 4. A Judge or any person participating in any capacity at a Dog Show held under CKC Rules shall not be subjected to any indignity of any kind during the progress of the show and it shall be the duty and obligation of the Club holding the show to see that this rule is effectively carried out. 5. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the conduct or actions of their animals while they are on the show grounds. 6. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The Club will not be responsible for and is not obligated to provide any service for notifying owners or agents of breed or class judging. No ring shall be held up waiting for exhibitors or handlers. Exhibitors & Handlers with more than one dog shall have substitute handlers available so the judging will not be delayed. 7. The owner of a dog entered in these shows is entirely responsible for any error in entering his/her dog, regardless of how or by whom the entry was made.

8. A dog once disqualified for any reason at a championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown at a show held under these rules until the dog has been examined by an official committee appointed by the CKC and the committee finds the dog is free from the condition which prompted the disqualification. Application for reinstatement must be accompanied by a fee which shall be forfeited to the CKC if the examining committee is satisfied that the dog should remain disqualified. All awards earned at a dog show in violation of this rule shall be canceled by the CKC and the owner of the dog is subject to disciplinary action. 9. Exhibitors and handlers will be responsible for their dogs and for their equipment left at the Show Grounds. 10. For the benefit of the health of animals and the pleasure of the exhibitors and spectators we insist upon keeping our grounds and buildings as clean as possible. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Please exercise your dog BEFORE taking it to the Judging ring. Dogs are to be exercised in the designated areas only, not in the vicinity of the ring areas. 11. No entry fee will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, and Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. 12. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.

In payment of entry fees, the tendering of NSF cheques shall be considered non-payment of entry fees and is punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards. A collection fee of $25.00 will be added to the amount of any returned cheque. Fax entries and/or credit card payment will be accepted when accompanied by authorized VISA, MASTERCARD or AMEX credit card number, expiry date, security code and cardholder’s name. Customers whose charges are declined by the Bank Card Authorization Department will be assessed a service charge of $25.00 for each transaction declined. Telephone entries are not accepted by the Show Secretary. Incomplete entries or entries received without fees, or entries received after the advertised closing date will not be accepted. CONFORMATION CLASSES The following classes will be provided, divided by sex.

REGULAR CLASSES JUNIOR PUPPY - 6 months & under 9 months on the day of the show SENIOR PUPPY- 9 months & under 12 months on the day of the show 12 – 18 MONTH CLASS - 12 months and under 18 months on the day of the show. CANADIAN BRED - for dogs born in Canada, Champions in any country excluded. BRED BY EXHIBITOR - shall be for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder. OPEN CLASS - shall be for all Dogs. SPECIALS ONLY - This class will NOT be divided by sex and open to dogs which have a recorded CKC registration or Event Registration Number and have attained the required points for Championship status. All awards earned at the show will be cancelled if it is found that a dog is not registered or has not completed the requirements for a CKC Championship. Dogs entered in this class will compete for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy if eligible.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES BABY PUPPY - 3 months & under 6 months on the day of the show (no points will be awarded for this class) VETERAN CLASS - In this optional class for All Breed Shows, dogs must be 7 years of age and over on the day of the show. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered. The awards for this class are: Best Male Veteran and Best Female Veteran Best Veteran in Breed, Best Veteran in Group Best Veteran in Show A Veteran awarded Best Veteran in Breed is not required to stay to compete for Best Veteran in Group. A Veteran awarded Best Veteran in Group is not required to stay to compete for Best Veteran in Show.

SEXUALLY ALTERED CLASSES Eligibility for the Sexually Altered Dog Classes shall be limited to dogs over 6 months of age which have been sexually altered by veterinary procedure. Points MAY NOT be carried from the regular competition judging to the Altered Dog Class judging. These classes will be judged immediately after Best of Breed of the regular classes. Two classes will be offered: Altered Male & Altered Female Classes will be placed first through fourth in both sexes, the first place winner from each

class will be declared Winners and the second place winner will be declared Reserve Winners. The Altered Winners Male and the Altered Winners Female will then compete for Best of Breed Altered and Best of Opposite Sex Altered in breed.
