Mussolini’s Italy1. Mussolini wanted to build a great/glorious Italian empire
2. Fascism- focuses on the good of the state rather than on the good of the individual citizens
3. Black Shirts- street fighters who beat up socialists/communists and kicked them out of local gov’t
4. Led the March on Rome and convinced Italy’s king to make him the head of Italy’s gov’t
5. Used propaganda to promote Italy’s greatness and established festivals/holidays that reminded modern Italians of their Roman heritage
