The traffic signs report table canbe created. This holds graphicaland textual information aboutselected traffic signs (name,station, position, …). The layoutand content of the report tablecan be predefined in a XML file.

This extension brings a missinglane, widening and bus stopfunctionality to Civil 3D.

There are two new methods, thepolygon method and the socalled “stick” method

Both of these methods arecompatible and can be used incombination during design.

The polygon element can becreated from any Civil 3Dalignment and be used forefficient horizontal alignmentediting with better flexibility thanby using a standard Civil 3Dediting command alone.

By using these two methods,undesirable horizontal alignmentsolutions, such as short tangents,or non-maximum radii, can beavoided.

Extension provides flexibledefinition and editing ofcompound spirals.

Lanes can represent road lanes,pedestrian footpaths, cycle lanes,grass areas etc.

Pre-defined typical cross-sectionsaccording to various nationalroad design standards, enableautomatic, quick and accurateselection of lanes and theirwidths.

There is the capacity to createand edit lane widening.Widening can be used to open anew lane for slow vehicles and tocreate additional lanes andcrossroads.

Widening can be anchored to aspecific station (chainage) or itcan be fixed to a specific point ina drawing. The advantage of thismethod is that any widening willremain in the same positionwhen the axis elements areedited.

Various combinations ofwidening elements (arc-arc,parabola-parabola, arc-line-arc,arc-line-parabola, …) andparameters (speed, length, firstand second R) are possible

There is the ability to create andedit bus stops. A bus stop can bedrawn either in tangents orcurves. Even if they are drawn incurves they are constructed outof straight lines and arcs.

The user can choose from a setof predefined bus types or canadd a new bus definition. Allvalues are stored in an XML file.

Special built in subassemblies canbe used in order to properlygenerate and display crosssections and the 3D corridor ofthe road.

The extension offers a userfriendly and easy to usesuperelevation functionality.

The plotbox utility enables you todefine drawing borders at theproper size and automates thegeneration of layouts forplotting.

The cut and fill hatching utilityhelps you to generateappropriate hatch lines andcolour areas between four pointsor two selected borderingalignments / polylines.

Various parameters for the hatchdensity and colours can be set.Hatch patterns react dynamicallyto changes in the borderingalignments / polylines

The area for volume calculation isdivided with grid mesh, for everycell the volumes are calculatedand labeled separately

Locations and quantities of cutand fill areas are preciselydetermined, zero contour iscreated dividing the cut and fillareas
