Trade shows and fairs can make a big difference, and companies know it. A boring
booth can chase away potential customers in an instant, while an exciting booth
with stunning visuals and interactive presentations can grab anyone’s attention.
We decided to put together this small guide so that you can instantly come up
with ideas for your client’s upcoming trade shows or other events. The following
CGIPixels projects showcase the services we offer, as well as how these services

Why Us?While some might think that creating videos for trade shows is nothing more than
creating videos, nothing could be further from the truth. You need an experienced
team to make a piece that stands out. Our team has over 7 years of hands-on
experience, and we offer unique CG techniques like art-directable fluid morphing
and hyper-real splashes and impact explosions. We work with in-house marketing
teams and with ad agencies as well. We know the challenges you encounter day
after day. Thanks to our streamlined service process you will not have to worry; we
will turn your brief or storyboard into amazing animations. In addition, if you choose
our team for your next project, you will not have to spend a small fortune.

01 MEDICAL MINDS IN MOTION
This 3-minute animation video enters the realm of holistic medical diagnosis.
The agency was challenged to explain the ins and outs of this extremely intense
medical field. We supported them using a multitude of animation techniques, from
pixel fields and hand drawings that morph into visuals to ink drops and inspirational
typography. While a charming voiceover works most of the time, during a noisy
medical expo, the typography alone had to do the magic. It definitely turned out to
be much nicer than a doctor’s handwriting.

02 COLOR EXPLOSION ON MULTIPLE SCREENS
When Microsoft came out with a new set of Surface tablets and laptops, the
company understandably wanted to make a big deal out of it. So, for a trade show
its agency, Experiences For Mankind, asked us to help create eye-candy that would
grab people’s attention. Naturally, we wanted to give them something spectacular.
We ended up creating a chain of colorful chalk powder explosions. Our animations
appeared on the screens of the new tablets and laptops as a wave, creating the
feeling of actual movement.

03 VISUALISING DATA
Visualising data is always an interesting challenge. When IBM’s agency, Centerline
Digital, asked us to boost its booth at a trade show, we had to turn hard facts
into interesting visuals that were both informative and exciting. We created ten
animations on supercomputing that strongly followed the company’s branding
guidelines. Our animations were continuously played on huge L-shaped screens
that certainly made the booth hard to miss.

04 INTERACTIVE PACKAGE DELIVERY
In another project for IBM, we had the opportunity to create something much more
interactive. Instead of simply watching our animations, people got to actually move
them. The agency wanted something that displayed the processes in its whole
supply chain, something that showed how certain products were transported from
one place to another. We ended up creating a complete animated story that gave
people the chance, on a huge touchscreen, to load IBM’s containers onto 3D trucks
and ships.

05 BBC BUT VIRTUAL
This panoramic 3D animation was created for the FA CUP for BBC (through Havas).
Our task was to develop something that created an instant connection with fans
going to Wembley for the Final. We showcased the highlights of the two finalists—
Chelsea and Arsenal—in full 360 degrees. The additional VR glasses (Samsung
Gear or Oculus) enabled the live audience to watch the video on a simple screen or
to experience the excitement of a full 360-degree view full of surprises.

06 AR CRUISE SHIP ON YOUR PHONE
Founded have found us with a rather exciting project. Its client, P&O, wanted to use
an AR application to advertise a brand-new cruise ship at a trade show. The idea
was simple but eye-catching; if one turned their phone to a brochure, the ship on
the page became 3D and started floating on the screen. To make this happen, we
partnered with Blippar, which provided the AR software that brought our animations
to life. The main challenge for this project was to animate P&O’s extremely detailed
cruise ship so that it retained all its characteristics but was also simple enough
for an AR application. We certainly learned a lot about ships while working on this!

“CGIPixels was a great partner for us on two simultaneous projects – 3D
character animation and 3D product animation. Every member of the team,
from first contact through completion, was very responsive and always
delivered on schedule. The finished animations are beautiful and were a big
part of a successful trade show product launch. We look forward to working
with CGIPixels again on our next animation project.”
