2. CGC Engineering create history by launching one of its kind SOLAR CARInspired by the Sun, Motivated by the environment.A solar vehicle is an electric vehicle powered by a type of renewable energy, by solar energy obtained from solar

panels on the surface (generally, the roof) of the vehicle.Photovoltaic (PV) cells convert the Sun's energy directly

into electrical energy. Solar vehicles are not practical day-to-day transportation devices at present, but are primarilydemonstration vehicles and engineering exercises, oftensponsored by government.Solar arrays located on solar cars are comprised of several photovoltaic cells that convert sunlight intoelectricity. Many types of solar cell technologies are usedthat involve monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, and gallium arsenide. Solar cars have unique appearances

since they are intended to create minimum drag, maximum exposure to sun with the aim to obtainmaximum energy, and possess minimum weight.

The aim was to develop and build a solar car which is costeffective positive in regards to economy. This is becausean electric motor and an electric generator are the samedevice, basically, and electrical current is fed into such adevice, causing it to act as a motor and,Fuel efficient and free from harmful emissions from C.I

and S.I engines.Few moving parts, service requirements are less than forconventional cars. Electric vehicles are very quiet. Noisecomes only from the electric motors. Added emissions arenot produced, since SPV's do not rely on utility-generatedelectricity.

3 Yet another breakthrough, CGC Mechanicalstudents roll now a HYBRID BIKE .

This multi-fuel bike runs on four types of fuel :1. Petrol2. Diesel

however the design of petrol, gas, and diesel engines isdifferent and the working of all types of engines aredifferent. Petrol and Gas engine works on otto cycle, dieselengine works on diesel cycle. There is a carburetor in petrolengine, gas atomizer in gas engine and fuel injection systemis there in diesel engine. Also the compression ratio for alltypes of engines is different. The design of combustionchamber for all types of engines is also different. The

ignition temperature of kerosene and diesel are 2200C and2100C respectively therefore both can work on same cyclewith minor changes.

Specifications of the Modified Engine-Engine - 175 cc, 2-strokeCooling System - Air CooledTorque - 10 B.H.P.Fuel - Petrol, Kerosene, L.P.G. and Diesel.

Participation Intent-Companies are requested to confirm their participation by

sending the participation form, provided as an insert tocorporate resource center.

Job Descriptions-Additionally, companies are requested to send detailed jobdescription for the positions they wish to recruit for. JobDescription, which should include position responsibilities and arecruiting contact, will be instrumental in attracting studentinterest.

Recruitment Process-Companies will be allotted a slot in recruitment programschedule for conducting their final recruitment process. Theseslots are decided purely by cumulative student preferences.

Companies may conduct all pre-final assessments such asgroup discussions, tests and preliminary interviews prior to theday on which they are slotted. In order to make appropriate

arrangements, companies are requested to provide informationon their recruitment procedure. In particular companies arerequested to furnish information on the approximate size of groups for group discussion, Number of interview rounds andapproximate duration of each interview. Corporate ResourceCenter will solicit this information two weeks prior tocommencement of campus recruitment.

Offers & Acceptance-All job offers should be channeled through corporate resourcecenter. No job offers can be made directly to any students. CRCwill communicate the company at the earliest, information oncandidates who have finally accepted offers. It is expected thatwhen offers are made companies will make note of the specificterms and conditions as discussed and agreed upon during the

interview and these will be explicitly stated in the offer formsubmitted by the company.

Internship Programme-A very effective way of starting a relationship with ChandigarhBusiness School is through the summer internship programme. After first year of studies students are required to undergo 6-8weeks of training in an organizational setting to gain industryexposure. Summer internship not only helps in valuable wordof mouth publicity on campus but also gives companies anopportunity to evaluate candidates before committing to a

permanent hire.

Pre-Placement Talks-Company presentations and pre-placement talks providestudents with an opportunity to learn more about company andmeet some of the key employees. Companies can make apowerful impression by exposing students to highlyknowledgeable employees who can deliver your message andconvey your commitment to recruiting at CBS. The schedulefor pre-placement talks can be worked out in co-ordination withcorporate resource center. This year company presentationswill begin from September.
