CFD Turbocharger AnalysisModel Setup and Results
CFD – Initial Concepts• Concept designs were created using CAD, these required validation
using a basic CFD model in 3D• We used ANSYS FLUENT for all of the CFD simulations
CFD – Initial Concepts• Results were plotted on graphs and 2D contour and vector plots in order
to compare and select the best designs
CFD – Vane Profiles• Once concepts were selected we tested the selected vane profiles in
more detail to find the best design
