• Review the day: Review the day’s activities from the list on the board or chart paper.

• Binder check: This can be done at any time during the day.

• Prepare for the CSS presentations: Work Teams continue to prepare according to their submitted time management plan. Correct quizzes. Teams take their own stretch breaks, as needed.

• Make presentations.

• Prior to the presentations: As for mock interviews, it is really helpful to have one other staff person evaluate the performance of each group with you, if possible. This should be the same person for all the Work Team presentations. Make sure s/he has a copy of the rubric.

• Again, remind the evaluator that this is the first time students have done anything like this. It’s an opportunity for them to practice their new skills and to gain confidence in their ability to present, so comments should be accurate but also as supportive as possible.

• Student presentations: Use a format similar to that for interviews. Students draw numbers from a box to determine the order of Work Team presentations. Choose one student to set the timer for each Team presentation and announce the final time at the end; you do this task while the timer’s Team is presenting. While one Team is presenting, members of the other Teams watch closely and fill out feedback forms on scratch paper, as they did for the interviews. Example:

• Presenters: Panthers• Feedback from: Ethan

- Really good: Your demonstration skit was great! Everyone will remember what self-esteem is after seeing that.

- Could improve: You just read from your PPT slides. You even turned your back to us.

- Scores: etc.- Students give you the Feedback forms at the end of each presentation. You clip

them with the copy of your rubric/notes and those of the other evaluator. Hold them until all presentations are completed.

• Hand the stack of feedback forms to each student. Ask students to review the feedback individually and then write in their binder, under the reflection for today, their own thoughts about what they did well and what they could work on.

• Then ask them to take 5 minutes to send an email to their evaluator, thanking them for their help today. Put the names and emails of the evaluators on the board.

• If you have time, ask the class to discuss the process—what worked well and what could be changed in the future to maximize the value of the exercise for students.
