Beside our many family friendly activities, adults will be thrilled by comedy, films and other performances in pubs, bars and cafés across Cheltenham as part of our CheltSciFest Fringe and can discover our free interactive zones on site in an adult-only special opening on Friday night.

Comedian, writer and broadcaster Rosie Wilby presents a mixture of talk, discussion and highlights from her stand-up show Is Monogamy Dead? and award-shortlisted book of the same name. Hear about Rosie’s very personal quest to find out why Western society clings to a concept laden with assumption and ambiguity, how diverse our definitions of infidelity can be and why there should be more language to describe the huge variety of connections between humans in this entertaining mix of memoir and humorous sociological study.

A secretary embezzles $40,000 from her employer’s client, goes on the run and checks into a remote motel run by a young man under the domination of his mother.
Join neuroscientist Sarah Garfinkel and science historian William Macauley after the film for a short talk and discussion. Find out how cinema became preoccupied with psychological ideas during the 1960s, and how mental health is portrayed in Psycho and other films.
