2. Asynchronous Message Service WG
Goals: • Discuss ESA/SciSys and CNES implementations• Interoperability testing• Specification discussions
Working Group Status:
• Interoperability testing under way: 1 spec change and 1 clarification found to date
• Spec review yielded 11 clarifications to Red Book, ready for Agency Review by May 2009 or earlier (interoperability testing completes end of March)
• Reviewed draft Green Book

AMS WG Findings
• The AMS WG endorses the AMS profile on which the SOIS MTS prototype is built
• Funding permitting, the AMS WG recommends initiation of ESA/SciSys – JHU/APL interoperability testing over SOIS packet service. To be completed before the spring meetings.
• We recommend that further JPL/GSFC/MSFC interoperability testing be conducted face-to-face some time in January, location TBD. On track to report test results by March 30 as scheduled.
• Plan to revise spec by December 15, publish Green Book on March 30, and start final agency (Blue Book) review per Charter schedule.

• Resources not available for Magenta Book, work covered by Cross Support Architecture WG.

4. IP Over CCSDS WG
Goals: • Develop a CCSDS recommended best practice document for
how to transfer IP datagrams over the 4 CCSDS link layer protocols.
Working Group Status:• IP over CCSDS Red-3 currently in Agency Review• Consensus achieved on NASA-RID on IP over ENCAP
• Requires Pink Sheet to add Internet Protocol Extension (IPE) PID plus normative Annex to Space Link Identifers BB, and remove IPv6 PID from same
• These actions complete the technical work of the group

5. Motion Imagery and Applications WG
Goals: • Review draft Green book text• Achieve consensus on forward work (Magenta or Blue Book)• Plan Spring ‘09 meeting timing and location
Working Group Status:• Reviewed June 23-27 visits to Columbus Control Center, European
Astronaut Center, and the ATV Control Center• Reviewed content of Green Book, made writing assignments• Settled on Magenta Book rather than Blue Book• Reviewed plan for interim meeting

6. Delay Tolerant Networking WG
Goals: • Review working group charter and status.• Review draft Green Book.• Discuss RFC5050 applicability and any deficiencies• Agree on documents the WG will produce and way forward
Working Group Status:• Reviewed draft Green Book, including comments by JAXA and
ESA.• Need identified to provide additional books on Application
Utilization (Magenta) and DTN Routing (Blue). Charter mod required.

7. Voice WG
Goals: • Review results of agency survey• Sanity check schedules• Review draft White Book
Working Group Status:• Voice communication survey preliminary results reviewed.• Reviewed White Book Draft, conclusions:
• Need separate drafts for the proposed Green and Magenta books. • An analysis by segment has been engaged that considers the
breadth of earth – habitat – in-space nodes in regard to voice communication.
• Assigned actions for Green Book document content.
