What’s NewThis document is intended for NICE partners, customers, Solution Engineers and Customer Services who deploy and support the NICE Perform Release 3 solution.

This document provides specifications for NICE certified platforms and guidelines for their build, based on hardware, software and partitioning requirements.

Table 1-1 on page 13 presents the compatibility of NICE certified HP, IBM or DELL platforms with NICE software-only components.

All NICE servers must be configured with NTP time source according to the guidelines in the Technical Note, TN0752.

It is recommended, where applicable, to configure the Network Interface Cards with NIC teaming for NFT (Network Fault Tolerance).

IMPORTANT Unless otherwise mentioned, this guide refers to Windows Server 2003 32-bit version by default.

Remote Tape Server Workstation Remote Tape Server (RTS) is a workstation dedicated to the remote logging of audio on Tape cassettes/ DVD media. The workstation may contain one tape/DVD drive and is connected to the NICE Logger (NiceLog High Density Logger or VoIP) over the LAN.

The RTS is a convenient solution to the problem of having NICE Loggers at a considerable distance from system administrators. The RTS can be placed next to the administrator's desk to enable quick and easy media replacement.

• The amount of disk space is determined according to the following limitations:

• If the machine, on which you installed your Logger, has more available space than the amount that the Logger can use, an information message will appear.Figure 5-1

• For every 1 GB of hard disk space designated for storage, the following hours of storage are allocated:

NOTE: • The amount of disk space used by your Logger database is defined automatically

during installation and cannot be modified.

• Partitions are fixed and cannot be changed during installation.
