1. Criteria for GMM and GMP Registration The criteria for registration of a Green Mark Manager (GMM) and Green Mark Professional (GMP) are shown below: Criteria GMM GMP Entry requirements Applicants should possess

engineering or a building related degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience or 5 years for diploma holders.

Certification Course for Green Mark Professional (about 23-1/2 day)

Complete One Green Mark project* at point of application

Green Mark Gold Green Mark GoldPLUS

* to have achieved 1 Green Mark Project to either Gold or GoldPLUS for GMM and GMP respectively, completed not longer than 2 years from point of application. 2. Recognition of GMM and GMP To encourage recognition and involvement, project with one principal member that is either GMM or GMP can earn One point or Two points respectively towards Green Mark Certification. 3. Maintaining Certification Continuing education is essential to maintain high standards of professional competency. A GMM or GMP must accumulate thirty (30) or fifty (50) professional credits respectively every three years to maintain certification. Activities Applicable as Credits for GMM and GMP renewal: Activities GMM GMP Continuous practice in Green Mark Project(s)

8 credits for GM Gold; 12 credits for GM GoldPLUS 16 credits for Platinum each

8 credits for GM Gold; 12 credits for GM GoldPLUS 16 credits for Platinum each

Continuing education: Approved sustainable/energy-related short courses, conference, workshop & seminars

1 credit for each contact hour 1 credit for each contact hour

Contribution to relevant knowledge:

a) Professional awards or papers presented and published related to sustainable/energy engineering/management

b) Conduct approved relevant courses

1 credit for every 2 hours, subject to max of 16 credits

The above serves as guidelines for attaining credits during the 3-year validity of the certification. 4. Awards and renewal of the GMM and GMP certification Interested applicants shall apply for certification or re-certification. Applicants will be evaluated and assessed by a panel and the decision in the award and renewal of the Green Mark Manager and Green Mark Professional certification is final. BCA is not obliged or bound to give any reason whatsoever for not awarding or renewing the certification.
