1. Information Presentation
1. After School Program – Quality Improvement Plan – Julie Lynn Martin-Borba, Grants Administrator, Ceres Unified School District
• Presented information related to the 2014/2015 after school programs in Ceres Unified.
• Over 8,000 students were served in the 2014/2015 year. • Program components include: recreation, enrichment, homework assistance,
academic intervention, character education, arts and crafts, etc. • The California Department of Education is requiring all after school programs
across California to develop a Program Quality Improvement Plan as part of the annual evaluation process.
• For the 2015/2016 year – this includes assessments of all stakeholders. • Attendees of the Ceres Community Collaborative were provided a paper survey to
complete. This survey measured their responses to questions directly related to the after school programs for grades K-12.

2. Creating Community Solutions
1. Ceres Partnership – Jennifer Rangel, Director • Ceres Partnership has moved its office from 4th Street to 1317 Grand View
Avenue (adjacent to Herndon Ave) in Ceres. • Ceres Partnership is a "One Stop" Family Resource Center providing a variety
of services to strengthen families. Programs/Services: • Parent Café • Parent Education • Support Groups • Literacy & School Readiness - Interactive parent & child classes. Toddlers in
Motion (Ages 1-3) and Way to Grow (Ages 3-5) • HBO- Healthy Birth Outcomes - For pregnant women and parent with a child under
age 1. Pickles and Ice Cream (Ages 0-1) • Assessment/ Child development screening

Upcoming Events
1. City of Ceres: Parks and Recreation - Cambria Pollinger The City of Ceres Parks and Recreation Department has several upcoming events for the summer season. • Halloween Festival to take place on Saturday, October 31 from 6-8pm in the Ceres
Community Center. Free to the community. Volunteers needed, contact Cambria Pollinger at 538-5782 in advance if you'd like to help or need community service hrs fulfilled.
• The Winter/Spring guide will be coming out November 1. Citizens and groups may pick those up at the center.
• Thanksgiving Dinner – free to the community – November 19, 2015 – 5pm & 7pm –at the Ceres Community Center. RSVP by November 13, 2015 by calling 209-541-0101 to reserve your seat. Provided by Ceres Partnership and Community Members.
• Annual Christmas Festival to take place on Saturday, December 5 at Smyrna Park. Performances, free holiday activities, and a procession led by both highs schools and all 3 Jr High marching bands to the opening of Christmas Tree Lane. The event starts at 5:30pm

Career Fair – Ceres Adult School is hosting a Career Fair on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 10-2pm at the Hanline Campus (in front of Central Valley High School).
