Company history
1977 – The company is establish with main scope of activities – centrifugal casting of high alloyed Cr-Ni based steel and alloyed cast iron
1989 – Due to the political situation in 1989 Centromet was reorganized and started producing unique products mainly for the European market:• Tubes and tube assemblies for the chemical industry• Furnace rolls• Cylindrical liners for 4-stroke diesel engines• Bimetalic roller shells The factory’s production is unique and specific to the client demands. The products are certified by LR, TUV and Intertek.
1999 – The company is privatized by Metal Technology Group Angel Balevski Holding AD. Since then Centromet AD is a member company of MTG
2007-2009 – Two new machines type Mazak are bought and the complete manufacturing of cylindrical bushings WASA 46 is approved
2009-2014 – Two new installations are constructed and approved for vertical centrifugal casting of cylinder liners WASA 46 and large bimetallic rolls with diameter up to 1200 mm.
2014-2017 – a new three year project was started for production of bimetallic rolls with high Cr content
2018-2019 – new induction furnaces are bought (5 in total)
2019 – Poreba CNC turning lathe is put in operation, 3D measuring arm is bought
