September 2013 Volume 2 (8) Happy 500th Blog Post, CentreLearn! Did you know the CentreLearn blog began on December 12, 2008? During its time, it has been used to keep you informed of our expansive training products, Administrator tips and tools, educator webinars, and industry announcements to name a few. On July 24, 2013, CentreLearn posted a retrospective 500th blog post showcasing some of the aforementioned topics. It’s always good to go back and review; perhaps some old news will be NEW to you! Since we are “looking back,” we thought we’d share some important September posts over the years. The topics of these posts are still valid and may help both the new and experienced Administrator. NEW COURSE ANNOUNCEMENTS Management of Bradycardic Rhythms This course covers general principles for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with bradycardic rhythms. Several cases are used to illustrate the general principles of assessment and treatment. Click the title to learn more. Diving Emergencies In this video training program, paramedic, SCUBA instructor, and rescue diver Michael Fraley teaches the important gas laws that impact SCUBA divers. He also reviews signs and symptoms of SCUBA related medical emergencies that EMS may encounter. Click the title to learn more. EMS Response to Mass Casualty Incidents This course explores the ins and outs of EMS response to a mass casualty incident. Explore how EMS personnel can assess and transport a large number of patients by implementing incident command and using a triage system. Click the title to learn more. NEW FERNO VIDEOS A large number of product training and injury prevention videos from Ferno EMS have been added to CentreLearn's vast content library.
