Criteria for recommendation of special careCriteria for recommendation of special care• Parents with mental illness, who are not (or no longer) capable of
taking care of their children.
• Families, where the neglect of the children’s care is an imminent risk.
• Mentally ill persons who are unable to cooperate about relevant treatment, or to maintain personal hygiene etc.
• Survivors from torture or persons suffering from permanent mental illness who are considerably disabled.

Groups of residents*Groups of residents*
• The largest groups of referred residents consist of the group of families and the group of mentally ill persons with the need for support, guidance and treatment. The average duration of a stay at the care department is more than 3 years, which is strainful on the residents and their children.
