A Message From Your PrincipalHello Central Families,

Our Central instructional team is very busy preparing eLearning lessonsfor your students for the next two weeks. The �rst day of eLearning willbegin on Monday, March 16th and continue through Friday, March 27th.ALL eLearning lessons are to be completed no later than Monday, April6th when we expect to return back to our normal school day routine atCentral Elementary.

Daily your students can access their eLearning lessons by 9am. Your child’s teacher will be available tosupport students between the hours of 9am and 4pm.

Thank you ALL for your support as we navigate the next couple of weeks in the best possible way. Wewill continue to keep the communication channels open. At this time, please continue to stay in touchwith your child’s teacher and encourage your student to complete their daily lessons accessible onCANVAS.

Parents, please share with your Central Tiger Cubs that “Tiger Cub News” will be broadcast daily at9:30am by the Central Administration team. More information to come!

Celebrating Literacy!Central had a great week celebrating literacy with costumes, read-alouds, and guest readers in every class! Thank you to all of ourvolunteers who came in to read to our students.

Still Working on Becoming Reading Millionaires!Central Elementary is focused on a school-wide goal based on increasing reading pro�ciency acrossall grade levels through the remainder of this school year. To meet our goal of growing our literacyskills and becoming better readers, our Central Tiger Cubs need to practice reading every day. In orderto help achieve this wildly important goal for our school, we are launching a campaign for our Centralstudents to synergize their efforts and read a MILLION MINUTES. We ALL want to be ReadingMillionaires!!

In order to reach this goal we need your help. Teachers and students will be tracking their reading hereat school, but we know our Central Tiger Cubs read at home as well. This is where you, our Centralparents, can help. Below you will �nd a link to a Google Document. We ask that you work with yourstudent to track the minutes you read at home and record it on this document. All you have to do is �llout the form with your student’s teacher name, grade level, and the number of minutes read.

eLearning and Spring BreakMonday, March 16 - Friday, March 27th will be eLearning days. SpringBreak is March 30th - April 3rd. School will resume Monday, April 6th.

Report CardsReport Cards for the 3rd nine weeks are now posted on Skyward.

School Now in Session on April 20thTo make up the professional development day on March 13th, school willnow be in session on April 20th.

iReadiRead testing for 3rd Grade will now be April 7th and 8th.
