their new home thanks to Central Presbyterian Church, Green Spring Presbyterian Church, Sinking

Spring Presbyterian Church, Woodland Hills Christian Church, and Washington County Virginia

Habitat for Humanity. This was an ambitious project with so many partners but it was a true success.

Everyone worked together and many new friends were made in the process. All the partner churches

stepped up with hard working volunteers and their financial commitment.

A special thank you to those who served on the Steering Committee in a leadership role not only

being in charge of their specific responsibility but also training assistants from our partner churches to

enable them to continue the build experience in Washington County in the future.

This month is our opportunity to support theThank Offering, which is nation-wide. Colossians 3:12 tells us “As God’s ChosenOnes…Clothe yourselves with compassion,kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.” Inresponse to this call we will celebrate the 13national and 13 international projects which havebeen chosen, all featuring women and children’sneeds. Come hear for yourself the news andwatch the video of our successful projects lastyear. Our program will be led by our PresbyteryWomen’s Justice and Peace Coordinator, ElaineAlderman.

Our Bible Study lesson is #3 “A Spiritual Houseand Household Matters” taken from 1 Peter 2:1-10 and 3 John 1-8. Both morning and eveningsessions will be led by Edwin this month. Wethank Alice for her wonderful lesson in October.Lunch ($5.00) will be served following BibleStudy in the fellowship hall.Evening Circle hostess is Betty Whitehead.
