Inter-country PAPs Module

Background

A number of grievance received from Intercountry PAP’s that AFAA is not updating

about their status on CARINGS. Sometime they even miss the referral cycle also.

To address their grievance, the steering committee has approved this module in

October 2017 this module has been developed.

Purpose

Through this module Inter Country can view

- Application Status

- Documents uploaded by AFAA

- Seniority

- Date of Referral Received

- No. of Immediate/Special Needs Children Available for Adoption

Target User

Inter Country PAPs (NRI/OCI/Foreigner) living aboard and registered through

AFAA who are initially approved by CARA.

How To Use

STEPS to Follow

Step1:

Open any browser on your computer and enter the URL as www.cara.nic.in. Now,

you can view the Home page of Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA).

Then, move the cursor on ‘Parents’ tab and click on Login to CARINGS.

Then click on NRI/OCI/Foreigner Living Abroad button

STEP-II

To Login in Inter Country Module, you may have registration number that is issued to

AFAA at the time of registration.

Your registration number is valid only if it is approved by CARA in initial Scrutiny.

In case of any problem you can submit your Query/Grievance through our “Grievance

Module”.

If you are visiting for the first time then

o Your registration no is your user id and you can generate your password by

clicking on “Generate Password” option.

o An OTP will be send on your registered Email.

o Enter OTP and security pin and click on submit button.

o If you don’t receive OTP you can generate new OTP by clicking on “Not

received yet? Send OTP again”.

o After verification you will be able to reset your password.

In case you had already generated password, then directly login on the portal.

Enter your registration no and click on “Get details”, you will get an OTP on your

registered email.

Enter OTP and security pin and click on submit button. If you don’t receive OTP you

can generate new OTP by clicking on “Not received yet? Send OTP again”.

Enter password and click on submit button.

Once your password is generated. Enter user id (i.e. your registration no.) , password

and security pin and click on login button.

Step-III

Now, you can view the Dashboard of individual.

The Dashboard comprises of the following details, as shown below:

Choice for adoption, Children available for adoption & AFAA detail.

You can track your application status on click on “Track your status” Tab

Move cursor on view application and click on print application.

Step IV

Click on “Change password”, enter old and new password and click on submit

button.

Step-V

To Log out from the session, click on ‘Log out’.
