The EVANGELISM GROUP led by Ken Spear will meet in the library, following our
evening worship.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY will meet after this
evening’s worship in Room 19.

for February 6-7 at the Holiday Inn (4412
Bass Pro Drive, Garland). The cost will be $95
per couple. A sign-up sheet is provided on the
table in the foyer. Please register and pay by
January 4!
A NEW YEAR’S EVE GAME NIGHT is
being planned to follow our 5th Wednesday
Devotional on December 31. Everyone who is
staying will need to bring a favorite finger
food/snack and any games you would like to
play. Drinks will be provided and there will be
activities for the kiddos. We will be “ringing” in the NEW YEAR with singing and prayer about 30 minutes before midnight!!
CHANGE FOR THE CHINESE CHILDREN: Collection jars have been placed
in each of the classrooms and in the foyer on the
table. Coins/money will be collected throughout
this Quarter of Class time (December – February
2015). A Goal Line has been marked on the
bottle in the foyer and let’s strive to meet that
goal. Please see Dan or Rachel Bryant
for any questions.
STEVE & JACKIE MEADOWS would
like to announce the arrival of their
granddaughter, Lynnsee Nicole
Plachy. Lynnsee was born on Saturday,
December 13 and weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. Big
brother, Mikal, also welcomes his sister.
Wednesday LADIES BIBLE CLASS
will resume January 7, 2015.
Ladies, if you wish to subscribe or begin a
subscription for Christian Woman Magazine for the coming year, please give
$15.98 to Blanche Richardson by December 28.
In Appreciation to … Dear Brothers and Sisters at Centerville:
The boxes of goodies for the missionaries are in
the mail. I had to replace the boxes on the table
with bigger boxes because the response was so
good! The workday the ladies had to sew
“pillowcase dresses” to send with Ron Coleman
to India in January was also a success: 22+
longer dresses and 8 smaller dresses – 5 beyond
our goal! Thank you for your help and
encouragement. In Christ, BETH WOOLLEY
I appreciate you all so much. The flowers I
received after surgery were beautiful. Thank you
for the meals, phone calls and cards sent to me,
and especially for the many prayers. Ronny and
I have been blessed in so many ways and we
thank you fro all your love and kindness. In
Christ, CARLA BUCHANAN
We want each and every one of you to know we
love you. I give all the praise to our Lord for
leading us to such a caring congregation. In
Cristian Love, JOHNNIE & CHERYL
BROWN.

Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue! Instituted by God in times of old and reflected in Christ’s love of the new covenant, a Christian marriage is one of the most beautiful things we have here on earth. Join us as we borrow from God’s word and one another to help strengthen the commitments that make up this beautiful union, result-ing in joy for those days that are bright and strength for those that are blue. This year’s retreat will be held at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites , 4412 Bass Pro Drive, Garland, Texas. The cost for the retreat is $95 for couples staying the night or $25 if no room is needed. “There is certainly no country in the world where the tie of marriage is more respected
than in America or where con-jugal happiness is more highly
or worthily appreciated…” Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-
1859) Much has changed since this French Statesman toured America. News headlines tell us a much different story of the decline and destruction of the family. This seminar is in-tended to help equip families to cope with today’s critical spiritual challenges facing our homes.
Please join us for this time of edification and strength-ening as we explore the signs and responses to dan-gers facing the home.
