In this new season of ministry and mission at DBC, we are exploring a key passage (Ephesians 3:14-21) and affirming the values we share as a community of faith that we seek to share in Old Town and beyond. Centered on the book Sticky Faith by Dr. Kara Powell and Dr. Chap Clark, we will explore everyday ideas that build lasting faith in our kids and have some fun and fellowship in the pro- cess! Join us for “Sticky Faith Night” 2 on Wednesday, August 26 at the Peterson’s Home. Purchase your Sticky Faith book ($15 cash or check) by contacting Krystal Speed. Check out our Children’s Ministry Blog to see what you missed on July 22. Simply Bible Study & Prayer Hank Black is leading a Bible study on 2 Peter Wednesday evenings at DBC from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This includes a time of prayer and is open to all who are interested. Neither dinner nor child care is provided. For more information contact the Church Office. Women’s Ministry Update Join the Women’s Ministry for an opportunity to go deeper in God’s word, in fellowship and in community service. Both our Monday daytime and Monday evening Women’s Bible Stud- ies will resume this fall. The Monday evening study will resume September 21 at 6:30 PM at Sherry Gebhard’s home in Alex- andria. The daytime group will start in October and meet in the Youth Basement. We are also praying for additional study facilitators- so if you feel God urging you to lead or assist, let us know.
