This event includes a fantastic schedule of music, dance, and demonstrations, along with delicious food from across the world. FRIENDS OF LATIN AMERICA September 25 | 3:30–5:00 PM | KU Torch Lounge Students, staff and faculty with an interest in or connection to a certain region of the world are brought together while enjoying food, art, and activities. This informal reception begins to introduce aspects of the rich cultures found in Latin America. EDUCATION ABROAD FAIR September 27 | 4:00–7:00 PM | KU Ballroom This fair includes displays of the various international opportunities available through the University of Dayton. Visit tables and talk to representatives to collect information about UD faculty-led programs, semester exchanges, service opportunities, cultural immersions and other programs with non-UD providers. BREAKING BREAD October 11, 18, 25 | 7:30–9:00 PM | 461 Kiefaber St. Do you like to eat? Want to try new international flavors? Breaking Bread brings together Flyers of different cultures to meet, share conversations, and learn from each other over delicious home-cooked meals. This program incorporates 3 consecutive dinners. Registration required. INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK October 28–November 4 An opportunity to celebrate over the course of a week, the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Participate in various programming including global game nights, language workshops, festivals, and more. INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL November 4 | 5:30–8:00 PM | RecPlex Food, performance, culture, and community come together at this unforgettable evening. Sample the world’s cuisines, take a walk through the international bazaar, watch incredible cultural performances, and see the beautiful clothes and flags of different countries at this enjoyable event. FRIENDS OF MIDDLE EAST November 14 | 3:30–5:00 PM | KU Torch Lounge Students, staff, and faculty with an interest in or connection to these areas of the world are brought together while enjoying food, art, and activities. CROSS CULTURAL CONNECTIONS YEAR-LONG COHORT

Cross Cultural Connections (CCC) brings international and U.S. roommate pairs together to engage in a series of structured relationship building and intercultural development exercises.

DIVERSITY PEER EDUCATORS YEAR-LONG COHORT

Diversity Peer Educators program brings students from diverse backgrounds and experiences to promote social justice, education and intergroup relations through peer-to-peer workshops.

FIRST FRIDAYS September 1 | October 6 | 5:00–8:00 PM | Dayton

This art hop provides an opportunity to explore Dayton featuring a sample of arts, music, food, shopping and more! U.S. students are invited to join IEP students in an evening out to exchange conversation and explore the artistic talents of the local arts community.

GLOBAL GAME NIGHTS September 20, October 25, November 15 | 4:00–5:30 PM | Rike Center 108

Global Game Night is an intercultural activity that brings Intensive English Program and U.S. students together in a low-stress, fun environment in which students enjoy snacks and play popular games from different regions of the world.

GLOBAL LEARNING LIVING COMMUNITY YEAR-LONG COHORT

The Global Learning Living Community is a unique community which brings together U.S. and international students to live and learn from one another’s unique perspectives.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP FAMILIES FALL AND SPRING COHORTS

International Friendship Families matches international students with faculty, staff, or community members for a semester-long cross-cultural experience.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS September 27, November 29 | 9:00–10:00 AM | KU West Ballroom

Learn more about the international students enrolled in the Intensive English Program by attending these Poster Presentations hosted throughout the academic year. With the goal to support English language development, student presenters engage attendees in this informal setting by sharing short presentations about research conducted in their coursework.
