SUGGESTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS Canadian Slavonic Papers welcomes manuscripts in either English or

French from members of the Association or scholars outside of Canada. All manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate, double-spaced and typed on one side of the page only. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively, double- spaced and placed at the bottom of the page or end of the paper. Manuscripts normally should not exceed 25 pages in length (including footnotes) and cannot be considered if they exceed 35 pages. The expense of reproducing maps, diagrams and large charts must be borne in part by authors or their university. Canadian Slavonic Papers requests that authors use the Library of Congress transliteration system and the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (3rd. ed.) as a standard form for documentation.

All manuscripts will be submitted for evaluation to three outside appraisers in a process that will ensure complete anonymity. Decision on publication normally takes from three to six months and the editors assume that during this time the manuscript will not be under consideration by any other journal.

Successful authors will be required to provide the final form of the manuscript on diskette. Upon publication, authors will receive one complementary copy of the journal and fifteen tear copies of their article. Since Canadian Slavonic Papers is a journal made possible by member support, all authors will be requested to join the Association if they are not already members.

All manuscripts as well as books for review should be sent to: The Editor, Canadian Slavonic Papers, Department of Comparative Studies in Literature, Film and Religion, 347 Arts Building, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA, T6G 2E6. E-mail: [email protected].
