Cell Wall

• Parents: They protect us and support us. Sometimes they are inflexible on things, too (or at least you may feel that way). Hence, they are like the cell wall.

Centrioles

• Democratic parties: We are divided into mostly democrats and republicans during an election. In some cases, such as right now, our country seems to be split.

Vacuole

• Locker: It has walls and a lock to keep things out, but we only use it for the temporary storage of belongings during school.

Plasma Membrane

• Gates at the football game: You must pass through these gates to enter or exit the game, but you can be stopped by teachers who work the gates. They are like the proteins and cholesterol found on the plasma membrane.

Nucleus

• Supervisor: A supervisor tells you what to do (generally at work), in addition, to guiding your training on how to do the job or task required. The nucleus is the control center of the cell and controls the production of proteins there.

Mitochondria

• Power Plant: It provides the energy needs of many. It enables a town, school, or home to function and complete every day tasks. The mitochondria provides the energy needed for our cells to complete daily tasks, too.

Lysosome

• Land fill: We throw out our wore out things that we no longer want or need. It goes to a land fill where it is broken down and recycled by the environment.

Golgi Apparatus

• Post Office: It is where we can put our packages into better boxes (modifying them) and then they will distribute them to their destinations.

Flagella

• Drive-thru: The traffic of a drive thru moves you along (locomotion), so that you can get your food, too (feeding).

Cilia

• Vacuum brush: It cleans the floor as it moves along, the brushes will roll and cause it to move.

Endoplasmic reticulum

• School: Students are prepared for the future. They are educated to take on future professions that allow for daily events to transpire that keep a town running smoothly. The ER prepares proteins for similar jobs in the body.

Ribosome

• Classroom: The exact site where you learn what you need to learn, in order to pursue a career path. The ribosome is the site of protein synthesis in the cell. The classroom is where you, are in essence, synthesized for the future, too.
