“Colors of a Mother” The colors of a mother surpasses the theories of mankind Her spectrum creates a connection That is built to do the opposite of divide But rather multiply the earth’s population with souls That resemble you and I And be the prescription to our sickness To cure our outlines For her pigment contains a vast of tones With red being the brightest That represents love, passion, strength and desire But don’t be mistaken Momma doesn’t mind fighting If somebody messes with her baby It’s a war that has ignited But with war comes peace With green being her signature hue For she is the representation of earth Without her fertility How could life make its debut? Her happiness spreads across the globe Flowing into the depths of the ocean And reaching newer heights towards heaven Is her secret blue potion However, The most prestigious color of a mother Is the color black Some devalue its mysterious shade But it defines elegance Something a mother doesn’t lack She’s is the smile to ones face And the twinkle to ones wink She’s ravishing like a rose And delicate like the color pink Her purity is a scenery That is painted in white If loving her was wrong Then her family needs to be right She is the sun in the morning And the quiet moon at night Without the letter “m” in mother The word other wouldn’t be right.

Life’s Reflections

Coreen Clemons Andrews was born to the late Adolphus Goode Clemons and Lucy

Jane Sheffield Clemons on Thursday, August 29, 1935 in Red Bay, Florida.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and became a faithful

member of Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church. She served in many capacities and on many auxiliary

boards, such as, the Sr. Usher Board, Women’s Missionary Society, Sunday School Teacher,

Sr. Choir, Lunchroom Committee, and the Pastor’s Aide Board until her health began to fail.

Coreen received her education from Walton County School System and was a gradu-

ate of Tivoli High School Class of 1955. She worked in housekeeping for a few years, but

eventually decided to focus on raising her family.

Coreen met the love of her life and was united in marriage with Roy Lee Andrews on

Tuesday, December 13, 1955. To this union, four (4) children were born. She was a devoted

wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. In her leisure, she enjoyed fish-

ing, cooking, singing and spending time with her family.

On Tuesday, July 26, 2016, God called home one of his most precious angels. God saw

she was tired and decided it was time for her to rest. She was preceded in death by siblings:

Cleo Clemons, Jeanette Clemons, Viola Fletcher, Nannie Andrews, Aninious Clemons and

Lonnie Clemons.
