SET students won the �nal round in the Melting Pot 2020 Innovation Summit & achieved Young Innovator award 2019

Second year B.Tech. students, Mr. Palepu Jithin Kumar & Mr. Rishabh Kumar of Electronics Communication Engineering Department, School of Engineering and Technology won the �nal in the Melting Pot 2020 Innovation Summit and achieved Young Innovator Award 2019 plus funding opportunities from various national and international companies. They have represented Mechagen Robotics Pvt Ltd, Sharda University, DIIF, in the summit. The innovation is in the �eld of brain controlled assistive devices.

Ms. Shubhnagi Taneja student of B.Ed. 2 year presented a paper “Social Networking: Friends and Foe” in a National Conference on Contemporary Practices and Trends in Digital Marketing & Social Media organised by Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education. New Delhi on 12th January 2019.

Mr. Bhupesh Chandra Gupta, student of B.Sc. B.Ed. (Integrated) 3rd year attended the �ve day workshop on the theme “Professional Enhancement of Teacher Educators” from 21 December 2018 to 26th December 2019 organised by Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology, Mohan Garden, Nawada.

SBS students win laurels against team from IIM-R, IBS & others

Mr. Kotian Deshan Deepak & Ms. Kritika Lohani, students of the BBA+MBA (Integrated) programme at the School of Business Studies, won the �rst prize at 'Adhyayan', a B-School Case Study Competition organized by Bhavan's Usha and Lakshmi Mittal Institute of Management (BULMIM) in association with their corporate partner Multiplier Mudra (trade and retail marketing arm of DDB Mudra Group). The competition was conducted in three steps Prelims, Semi-�nals and Finals. The SBS team emerged as winner after competing with 16 teams of different B-Schools like IIM- Rohtak, IBS, FIIB, BULMIM, etc. The two students will now get an opportunity to work closely with Multiplier Mudra and pitch their solution to the company's corporate client in a live boardroom.

Participation in the 1st InterCollege UG Quiz Competitionin Community Medicine

Sharda MBBS Students participated in the 1st Inter College UG Quiz Competition in Community Medicine held at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital.All Medical colleges of Delhi NCR participated in this inter-college quiz competition. Total 90 teams (two students per team) participated in the quiz competition, among them maximum participation was from School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda University (16 teams participated from SMS&R). One team of our institute, Mr. Aditya Chakraworty and Mr. Arya Agnihotri, reached the top six teams of the quiz. The event coordination was carried out by Dr. Amit Pawaiya and Dr. Harsh Mahajan under the guidance of Prof. S. Nagesh.

Scholarship worth Rs.75000

Mr. Rahul Kumar (2012 Batch MBBS) won a scholarship worth Rs. 75000 at the Inaugural Edition of the MEDENGAGE Scholarship Summit on 9th December, at Nehru Center, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai.

Second Position at an event Celebrating World Breast Feeding WeekDepartment of Community Medicine, SMSR won Second Position in World Breast Feeding Week, 2018 organised by Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine UP & UK Chapter. Award was given during Valedictory function of XXI IAPSMUPUKCON 2018. Ten medical colleges participated in the event.

Final year B.Tech. students Mr. Akshay & Mr. Ramashankar Kumar of Computer Science Engineering department, School of Engineering and Technology completed summer internship with Indoma Industries Pvt Ltd, Greater Noida, in the �eld of Android App development. Mr. Akshay worked on customization and implementation of new features in Hisab app (already available on Google Playstore) and published its new version on Google Playstore. Mr. Ramashankar developed their whole website which is currently up and running successfully.
