So your team’s work is recognised - it’s an opportunity to celebrate your achievements
If you’ve completed Improving Quality Together Silver Level, you’ve got a project ready to enter!
Improving Quality Together (IQT) is a national initiative to equip NHS Wales staff with skills that will help improve standards and delivery of care. The Silver level focuses on applying the skills to deliver quality improvement projects in the workplace and these projects are perfect for entering into the NHS Wales Awards.Helen Dinham, Theatre Manager at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, completed a silver level project which looked at overcoming the obstacles that were preventing the correct level of cleaning taking place in operating theatres. She said, “Improving Quality Together helped me look at exactly what the problem was and not just assume I knew what it was,” she says. “It enabled me to use tools and methodology I hadn’t used before to achieve 100% compliance in cleaning that has reassured our patients about the quality and standard of care they receive. I was delighted to be shortlisted for the 2014 NHS Wales Awards.”

“Against that background, it is especially
important to recognise the efforts of staff who work so hard in caring for and supporting patients.
“The NHS Wales Awards 2015 are a chance for us to celebrate all that is good about the NHS and I would encourage anyone who works in the NHS to take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate excellence in care by submitting an entry to the Awards.”
