What Makes Us Unique?

Guardian is one of the only full-service pet

crematories in Southern California, providing

all cremation services as defined by the

International Association of Pet Cemeteries

and Crematories. We offer free grief support

with every cremation. Both individual and

private cremation services include a beautiful

cedar urn with an engraved name plaque,

and a guarantee to have your pet’s cremains

returned to you within seven days of pick up.

Life Without Unconditional Love

The loss of the unconditional love that you have come

to expect from your pet can feel insurmountable.

To help get through this difficult time, employ these

tools as you ease yourself through your recovery.

• Use a support system — friends, family, pet loss

support groups, or specialists who understand.

• Maintain your health by keeping it simple. Keep

a water bottle and some healthy snacks handy.

• Don’t make any major, life-altering decisions

in the midst of your grief.

• Try to get some physical exercise, which will

benefit you physically, emotionally and mentally.

• Try to change some or all of your routines.

• Find nurturing and/or creative activities

to help you work through your grief.

• Find ways to memorialize your pet that resonate

with you, such as wearing a locket with a photo,

wearing their tags on a necklace or putting them

on a key chain, creating a photo album of the life

you shared, or making a donation in their honor.

We have many beautiful options to commemorate

your pet’s memory for years to come. We offer

a variety of customized urns, engraved cedar

lock-boxes, keepsake jewelry and individualized,

handmade paw prints as memorial options.

Equine Services

Guardian understands the incredible bond

between horses and their caretakers. We believe

that all animals deserve dignified and compassionate

aftercare. Our equine and large animal services

were the first of their kind in Los Angeles, and

our facilities can accommodate even the largest

of animals.

Grief Support

Dr. Kathleen Ayl is available to assist all Guardian

clients through their grieving process. The focus

of Dr. Ayl’s practice is primarily on pet loss and

compassion fatigue support. Guardian sponsors pet

loss support groups throughout Southern California

to support our clients with their grief. Please call

Cremation Options

Individual

Our most popular and most eco-friendly

service. With individual cremation, your pet is

placed lovingly in a personalized compartment

that guarantees there can be no mixing of the

cremains — something not all forms of aftercare

can assure. This process is gentler on the planet

and more environmentally friendly. Your pet’s

cremains are returned to you in a beautiful

cedar lock-box with a personalized plaque.

Urn upgrades are available upon request.

Private

Our most premium service. Your pet is placed

unaccompanied in the crematory for a private

service, as is done in human cremation services.

You are welcome to view the service if you wish.

Communal

A beautiful option for those who do not wish

to have their animal’s ashes returned. Communal

represents community. After cremation, ashes

are respectfully scattered at sea off the coast.

Paw prints are available upon request.

You Have a Choice — Ask Your Veterinarian

Many people don’t realize it, but you do have

a choice of where your pet is cremated. Guardian

works with many local veterinary offices and

animal hospitals in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara,

Orange County, plus surrounding areas.

Ask your veterinarian if they use Guardian. If they

do, you may work directly with your veterinarian to

have your pet picked up. If they do not yet use our

services, contact us and we can make arrangements

for your pet with your veterinarian on your behalf.
