Amy, the daughter of John and Cathy Slessor of Forbes, chose an ivory A- line gown with lace-up back, train and rouched bodice featuring embroi- dered motifs made of beads and lace. Complementing the gown was a two-tier cir- cular veil with satin fin- ished edging. Amy wore sapphire and diamond earrings and necklace to match her en- gagement ring. A special feature of the ensemble was Amy’s electric blue shoes. Assisting Amy was her sister and maid of ho- nour Laura Slessor, and bridesmaids Clare Mac- Gregor, Amy Bryant, Aimee Graham and Hay- ley Courts. A teardrop arrange- ment of cream roses and blue orchids was carried by the bride, with the maid of honour and bridesmaids carrying the same flowers in a posy arrangement. The maid of honour and bridesmaids wore long satin electric blue dresses with a rouched bustline capped off with a diamonte brooch as the feature. Dane, the son of Keith and Ros Millerd of Gunnedah, wore a pin- stripe black suit with a silver bow tie. His best man, Jason Gould and groomsmen Jeff Wilson, Daniel Auld, David Bowden and Bren- dan Trevithick all wore black suits with an elec- tric blue bow tie to match the bridesmaids. The couple’s daughter, Lexi, was seven-months- old at the time of the wedding and formed part of the bridal party. She was dressed in an ivory satin and tulle dress, made by Amy’s great aunty Margaret, and was carried down the aisle by Amy’s maid of honour Laura. Forbes marriage cele- brant Rhonda Keane presided over the cere- mony. A reception for Amy and Dane with their wed- ding guests was held at the Forbes Services Me- morial Club. The three tier choco- late, white and caramel mud wedding cake was made by Shirley Myers. It was finished with white fondant and fea- tured blue ribbon around the sides with a bride and groom custom-made topper. Reception decorations consisted of white chair covers with electric blue sashes, while tables fea- tured vases finished off with a blue orchid and cream rose on top. Entertainment was provided by DJ Haven of Tamworth. A highlight of the evening was the groom’s rendition of U2 song ‘All I Want is You’ which he sung to his new wife with accompaniment by groomsman Daniel Auld on the guitar. The ceremony was held at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Parkes at 3pm in front of family and friends before adjourning to the Parkes RSL Club for the re- ception. Sarah was assisted by her friends Lauren Dellaca and Janelle Laing, who wore strapless full-length champagne coloured silk dresses. The three women wore pearl earrings with a classic pearl bracelet and carried bouquets of baby pink roses. Daniel was assisted by friend and best man Nathan Farr and friend and groomsman Mark Forman. The three men wore black Rodger David suits with white Country Road shirts and skinny black Van Hue- sen ties. The bride’s niece Kiara Coles was the flower girl and wore a below the knee flower girl dress from David Jones. Sarah’s godson Marty Davies was the page boy and wore a black suit complete with white collar shirt and black tie matching those worn by the groom and groomsmen. The wedding cake, created by Kath Swansbra of Parkes, was a two-tier chocolate mud cake covered in white icing. Reception tables were decorated with fish-bowl style vases filled with roses, with petals scattered un- derneath. A lolly buffet and photo booth was also avail- able for guests while at the reception. Entertainment was by Parkes DJ. Wedding day memories were captured by Cupcakes Photography, Forbes. Kelly, who is the daughter of John and Carla Ferguson of Mudgee and David, who is the son of Lindsay and Margaret Dent of Forbes, chose to have a luncheon wedding reception at Chiswick Restaurant, Woolahara. The bridal gown was an A-line dress with one metre train featuring a chiffon skirt and train over a silk lining. The gown was complemented by a French lace bodice with cap sleeves. In her hair Kelly wore a French lace hair piece accompanied by pearl and diamond earrings. Kelly carried a bouquet of white roses. Bridesmaid Karla Parsonage wore a royal blue silk dress. For the wedding, David chose to wear a dark blue suit, white shirt and silver and blue tie. Memories of the wedding were captured by Modern Art Photographic of Northbridge. The couple honeymooned on Hamilton Island for one week.
