The CEJH is an international youth organisation for horticulturists and florists. The foundation of the CEJH was 1965 in Thun in Switzerland.
AIMS OF THE CEJH- to represent the interests and affairs of young horticulturists and florists- to promote the education and supplementary education of horticultural and florists professions - to make an effort to promote the international exchange of probationers at European level- to promote the uniting of the nations in Europe-to promote the international exchanging of vocational experiences of young people- to support the organisation of study tripsbe in contact with the AIPH and other European youth organisations, like CEJA, CEA and other European Committee

The 54th CEJH congress took place in Austria. During a week Salzburg, Tirol and Upper-Austria were visited. This time the program was more focusing to visit plant nurseries, machinery producers and gardening centres.

HELLBRUNNHellbrunn Palace is an early Baroque villa of in Salzburg, The schloss is also famous for its jeux d’eau (“watergames”) in the grounds, which are a popular tourist attraction in the summer months. These games were conceived by Markus Sittikus, a man with a keen sense of humour, as a series of practical jokes to be performed on guests.
KÖNIGSSEEKönigssee and it is emerald green water surrounded by a wonderful landscape is world famous. The cleanest lake in Germany is about 5 sq km, 8 km long, at its widest point, 1.2 km wide and up to 190 m deep. It was created in an already formed before the ice age valley, which was then deepened by powerful ice streams further.

The ELCA is the European Landscape Contractors Association. To promote cooperation as well as the exchange of information and experience in Europe the European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA) was founded in 1963. Twenty-one national landscaping associations are currently full members of the ELCA. Moreover the ELCA has five associated members.
The work our landscaping contractors do is very varied. Today their fields of activities are just not mainly landscaping work such as landscaping and maintaining gardens, private and public parks, but also of increasing importance for European landscaping contractors is the landscaping of leisure centres and sports grounds, greenery for roof gardens and facades, greenery for back yards, indoor gardens, creating
slow traffic areas, landscaping roads and accompanying paths etc. as well as the renaturalisation of stream beds.
The landscaping sector is an industry with a future in Europe. Most of the 74,000 medium sized landscaping businesses employ less than 50 staff per company. The industry as a whole employs more than 350,000 staff and the number is increasing.
European landscaping companies are proud of their large number of apprentice. On average the percentage of apprentices is eight percent of the employees. This demonstrates how many young Europeans regard the profession of landscape gardener as one with a future and how serious the companies take their responsibility towards vocational training.
