How did the speaker capture the attention of the audience in his or her introduction?

& How did the speaker maintain the engagement of the audience throughout the speech?

Page 4: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

Adam captured the attention of the audience by specking of the NY times article that said a stash of DODO bird bones where found in the

island of Mauritius.

Adam kept his audience engaged by making them laugh and telling them how he was obsesses on having his own DODO bird skeleton and end making his own.

Which of the ten TED Commandments does the speaker best follow?

How/why?

Page 6: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

I feel Adam used TED second

Commandment: Show us the real

you.

As I was watching Adams TED video, I did not feel as if I was watching some video of a person talking about something he didn’t care about. I saw a person that was not afraid to show his real self and talk with his emotion.

Evaluate the speaker in terms of dynamism from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). What could the speaker have done to increase his/her dynamism?

Page 8: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

In Dynamism I g

ive him a 5 of 5

I really enjoyed his speech and visual aids.

He was Fluent, used visuals very well, and demonstrated passion

What tips were used from Garr

Reynolds or Nancy Duarte?

Page 10: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

Naturalism was what I found to help the most.

What have you learned about delivery based upon watching your

presenter?

Page 12: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

What I learned about

delivery is if one has

a good story to go with your speech

then the audience will listen.

Page 13: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

Compare and contrast your speaker to Sir

Ken Robinson from the two videos you

watched (“Schools Kill Creativity” and

“Changing Education Paradigms.”)

Page 14: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

Sir Ken Robinson Is more formal in his approach to public specking. He didn’t use visual aids but use humor to get his message through to the audience.

Page 15: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

Adam Savage approach is more modern in the seanc that he uses visual aids and tells more of story than a

speech to get the message through to the audience

Page 16: Cebollero Adan- TED presentation week 2 Public Specking

They are both very good public speaker But Sir Ken Robinson speech lacked

little energy compered to Adam Savage speech that

had more energy.
