Introduced in 1995, Communauté Européenne or CE marking is a mandatory requirement for the sale and operation of all industrial machinery in the EU. The marking indicates that a manufacturer’s product conforms with the requirements of the Machinery Directive, as well as all other applicable EU directives, such as the Low Voltage, EMC, and ATEX directives. Proper technical documentation is needed for CE marking to be valid.
