and seismic data). 3. Determine if a basin is generally suitable for storage

of supercritical CO2 (reservoir – seal pairs existing below ~800 m).

4. Qualitatively and/or quantitatively ranking of sedimentary basins in order of suitability.

5. Quantitative CO2 storage capacity estimation using probabilistic method (Monte Carlo)

COP21 The Paris COP21 Agreement sets the

stage for unprecedented international climate action

Agreement has focused on countries’ new climate plans, or “nationally determined contributions” (NDCs) which are aimed at the post ~2020 period

The decision adopted by the Conference of the Parties (COP) in tandem with the Paris Agreement itself includes a set of elements to “ensure the highest possible mitigation efforts in the pre-2020 period.”

These actions are essential of we are to achieve the Paris Agreement’s long term goal of keeping the global warming to well below 2 degC above pre-industrial levels
