General Statement: The Colorado Community Managed Care Network (CCMCN) is a managed care and technology provider network of 12 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) with locations throughout Colorado. On behalf of its member clinics, CCMCN pursues collaborative, network-based programs in the areas of health information technology, managed care and clinical quality improvement that will ultimately benefit FQHC clients, who are typically indigent, underserved, and/or uninsured. CCMCN is a one-third partner in Colorado Access, a safety-net health plan serving Medicaid and Child Health Plan clients. CCMCN serves as a Colorado Regional Extension Center (CO-REC) subcontractor under CORHIO helping Colorado’s FQHCs achieve Meaningful Use Requirements. The ETL Developer/Data Integrator will operate as part of the Colorado Associated Community Health Information Enterprise (CACHIE), a multi-functional health information technology enterprise program/department under CCMCN. CACHIE’s purpose is to innovate, discover and spread effective technology solutions that help advance the quality and safety of patient care, monitor and improve each patient's health care experience, lower costs of and improve access to care, and decrease health care disparities. Position Description:

The ETL Developer/ Data Integrator will be primarily supporting the CACHIE Data Warehouse and Reporting Program, called CACHIE Analytics.

The ETL Developer performs the following functions:

• Analyzes, designs, develops, implements and supports the CACHIE Analytics ETL/SSIS and Business Intelligence solution(s).

• Develops and implements SSIS packages based on best practices, with innovation and with little supervision.

• Demonstrates a detailed knowledge and understanding of Data Warehousing aspects including ETL, STAR schema modeling and Report development.

• Works collaboratively with users to understand requirements, align priorities and interactively develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, deploys and supports SSIS/ETL Packages

Designs, develops and maintains SQL 2005/2008 database objects such as views, stored procedures, functions, etc.

Analyzes data to identify root-cause of issues related to data warehouse and ETL processes. Provides troubleshooting expertise in resolving technical issues.

Participates in the design and implementation of logical and physical technical architecture for all tiers of the Data Warehouse

Participates in the design and implementation of logical and physical data models for data warehouse, data marts and operational data stores

Designs and develops dimensions and facts using dimensional modeling and STAR schema standards.

Participates in designs and development of Reports, Dashboards and Scorecards with the help of other team members

Participates in requirements gathering, analysis, design and development of current and future BI initiatives

Develops and automates ETL processes that follow standards and best practices and are highly optimized

Interfaces with business users and evolves ETL processes to meet business requirements Identifies, communicates and resolves data quality and data reconciliation issues Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections Develops test plans and conducts testing according to the plan Customer Support and BI platform support Maintains knowledge of BI methodologies, products and best practices Maintains or expands knowledge of Healthcare data standards, measures, code sets,

legislative and state or national initiatives Maintains or expand knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Key Skills/Minimum Job Requirements: 3-5 years of SQL Server DTS/SSIS package design and development 3 years of SQL Server stored procedures and functions design and development 3 years of experience in business intelligence and data warehousing concepts and processes Dimensional Modeling Data Mining Ralph Kimball/Bill Inmon data warehouse methodology Excellent customer service skills Demonstrated ability to set and meet project timelines, budgets, deliverables and milestones Proven ability to quickly grasp new technology Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated change management

experience Effective interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interact with various

levels of personnel Ability to work with minimal supervision and maximum accountability Detail-oriented and thorough when producing any work product Must be flexible, able to prioritize multiple tasks, able to manage a full workload Ability to work as a team member and work effectively with diverse people and demonstrate

cultural sensitivity. Knowledge of healthcare data exchange standards such as HL7, CCD and CCR, XML Knowledge of standard healthcare code sets like LOINC, ICD9/10, CPT4 and SNOMED Ability to work after hours if needed Fluency in written and spoken English

Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) and 3-6 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
