Translation Process Step by Step How can CCJK ensure reliable service? Over many years, CCJK has established a reliable and well approved workflow that allows us to meet our clients' needs and maintain industry standards of quality and accuracy. Our workflow also provides great flexibility, which helps us to provide customized solutions and to adapt to our clients’ timetables. An overview of our workflow can be found here. A chart of our workflow can be found below. Step 1: How about a free quote? The translation process begins when you contact us for a free quote. Simply send an electronic copy of the document that needs to be translated to your contact at CCJK or our general enquiry email address ([email protected]), or fill out our online form with all the relevant information on our website (http://www.ccjk.com/free-quote/). Within hours, our sales team will contact you with your free quote. Step 2: What if I decide to place an order? If you are satisfied with our quotation, you confirm the order by sending the finalized source document(s) that need to be translated along with a Purchase Order (PO). If the source files are too big to send by email, we will provide you with our FTP details, so you can upload your files onto our server. Please feel free to supply us with detailed instructions, any available glossary, or other reference materials that our linguists can use for an informed production. If you have requested a nondisclosure agreement, we will gladly send you a signed copy at this point. Step 3: How do you select a translator to work on my project? We use a number of advanced criteria to select the translator who will work on your project. For more information about our translator selection process, as well as the criteria we use, please see below. Step 4: What happens during the translation process? The translator chosen to perform your translation hand crafts a target language version of your document. Our translators use Computer Aided Translation (CAT) technology, such as Trados, to produce highly consistent and accurate translations. This technology also reduces your costs, since you don't have to pay the full rate for repeated sentences within the documents. Following this step, our linguist will submit the new document to one of our proofreaders and project managers, who will then assess the quality of the translation work and correct technical errors in the language. Step 5: What will be your quality standards for translation? Once the translator has completed work on your project, our experienced proofreaders check the translated document for errors and correct any issues with spelling, grammar, or formatting. The document is then passed along to the project manager, who reviews the final document, checking it against our quality standards. If, at any point in the quality review process, the proofreader or the project manager decides that the document does not meet our standards, the document can be sent back to Step 4 or the beginning of Step 5. When dealing with larger jobs, clients also have the option to participate in our quality review and revision process, to fully meet any particular requirements they have. Step 6: How can I receive my completed translation? Once our proofreaders and project managers have given their full approval to the completed translation, we will prepare it for delivery to you by email. Again, if the files are too big to send by email, our FTP site will be used. The flexibility of our workflow process allows accommodating exceptions and contingencies. If your project requires additional changes once it has reached the translation stage, we will gladly accept these and incorporate them (additional fees may apply for more extensive changes). If we encounter a delay, we will notify you immediately of any changes to your timetable. If you are not satisfied with the quality of the translated document, or it doesn’t meet your requirements in any way, we will return it to our linguist for another round of translation, incorporating any corrections or suggestions you might have. Resubmitted documents will also go through another round of quality control.
