We are Raising Peace!Zhuoling You - Project Assistant

Thanks to the support of members and IVS activists, Raising Peace campaign has achieved a fruitful year!Besides 2 specialised trainings on peace and human rights, advocacy and campaigning, we had 1 photo contest to visualise the theme ‘volunteer and peace’; 2 key-date actions ‘Raising PEACE’ & ‘Mapping Peace’ to showcase testimonials and projects by IVS activists; over 35 workcamps in 5 continents to join; 1 database for training materials...and more! Let’s continue Raising Peace in 2015!

‘‘Contact Making to Youth Participation’’ Seminar in Laguépie!Inès Boursot - CCIVS Assistant Campaigns Coordinator

The seminar is the first stage of a CCIVS project uniting NGO’s from the European Union, Middle East and Maghreb, with the main goal to improve active participation and social inclusion of youth coming from countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea.

CCIVS was present in the Third International Forum of NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO, on the theme “The role of youth in the safeguarding of tangible and intangible cultural heritage”.

Dear Friends,This is the third and final newsletter for 2014. It has been a very busy and eventful year and has been made all the much better by the active cooperation of CCIVS members, volunteers, executive committee members and the volunteers and staff of the Secretariat. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continuing dedication to the IVS network and its values.2014 has also solidified and created new partnerships with external stakeholders and has led to a greater visibility of CCIVS actions; this will continue to improve during 2015.I am sure that 2015 will mark another successful year, there will be many new and interesting campaigns and activities which have been decided upon by our members though the Plan of Action, websites for these projects: www.ccivs.org/v2a, www.ccivs.org/raisingpeace, www.ccivs.org/contact2participation, www.whvolunteers.org.

The 33rd General Conference and General Assembly of CCIVS in South Korea!

The 33rd General Conference and General Assembly of CCIVS hosted by IWO took place in Seoul, Korea during 15 – 21 October 2014. More than 60 delegates from over 30 organisations presented in the conference the theme of which was Vision and Action to Change the World through International Voluntary Service.

BREAKING NEWS: CCIVS elected to the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee!Victoria Lovelock - Director

CCIVS is happy to announce its election to the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee. The elections took place during the International NGO Conference in the UNESCO Headquarters (15-17 December 2014), with CCIVS receiving the highest amount of votes in its category. CCIVS sees this election as a big challenge and shall work actively to ensure a successful 2 year term.

First UNV Partnerships Forum: Innovation in Volunteer Action! CCIVS’ EC members Matina Deligiani and Oriol Josa participated in the ‘’First UNV Partnerships Forum: Innovation in Volunteer Action’’ that took place in Bonn, Germany (30th of September - 1st of October 2014).

World Forum for Democracy! Zhuoling You - Project Assistant

The 3rd World Forum for Democracy took place in Strasbourg between 3-5 November. Zhuoling You, Project Assistant of CCIVS, was selected by the European Youth Foundation (EYF) to be part of 217 young delegates from over 100 countries that contributed in the forum.

2014 International NGO Conference in Paris!

The theme of the Conference taking place in the UNESCO Fontenoy venue Paris was ‘Re-enchanting the World with the post 2015 Development agenda’. We were joined by SCI International, YAP Italy and Concordia.
