Football Stuff to RememberFour Keys for 4 Quarters

In a game of flag football, one team of players tries to score points

by putting the ball in their opponents' "end zone" using any

combination of "running plays" and "passing plays". The opposing

team tries to prevent them from doing any of those things, and thenregain the ball for themselves so that they can try to score points.

Weve made this Playbook for you, so that you can start to learn

about all the neat things that make flag football the fun and exciting

game it is and so you can also start to become the very best flag

    football player you can be!!

Here are some of the basics of the game of flag football:

Each team has 6 players on the field at any given time.

When a team has the ball in their possession, it is referred

to as the "offensive" team, or "offense".

When a team does not have the ball in its possession, it is

referred to as the "defensive" team, or "defense".

You cant hold or cover your own flags to keep the other

team from taking them. You cant hold, stop, or trip the ball carrier to try to take

    their flags from them.

You cant knock anybody down when trying to block them.

Offense = when your team has the ball. Youll try to pass or runthe ball down the field and into the endzone = TOUCHDOWN!

Offense runs plays (running and passing) from different formations(how you line up) to do that

Defense = when the other team has the ball. Youll try tostop themfrom moving down the field by pulling the flags off ythe ballcarrier

Defense defends the field using different coverages (man or

zone) to stop the offense from getting the ball downfield and into

    the endzone
