    First Class Service

I would like to extend my most gratuitous and overwhelming thanks to both the

ground crew of Malaysia Airlines at Narita Airport for their outstanding and

    excellent customer service.

It began with our final day in Tokyo, where my parents and I checked out from

The Imperial Hotel and proceeded to board the Narita Express that will take us

from Tokyo to Narita. As we descended our taxi, we stared above at the massive

magnificent construct that is the Tokyo Station.

Down we went hauling our five pieces towards the ticketing area and bought our

three tickets. Then we thought that we're ready to go.

What we did not know about however, was how the trains work on our destined

platform. Some train services in Japan apparently shared platforms. We were so

keen on not wanting to miss the train that we actually took the wrong train, a

service bound for Chiba instead of Narita and had to backtrack to where we came

    from that is Tokyo station.

The next train departed at 20:03 and our flight to Kuala Lumpur was scheduled at

21:40. The entire journey on the express train will take us an hour to reach theairport. Knowing that it would be virtually impossible to reach Narita on time my

parents called the 24 hour MAS call centre and spoke to Ms Myra.

During our time in the 20:03 express train, we managed to call the 24 Hour

    Malaysia Airlines customer service.

Our greatest thanks to Myra who kindly checked us in online. Reaching Narita at

9.12 we dashed our way to the Mala however, was how the trains work on our

destined platform. Some train servic most gratuitous and overwhelming thanks toboth the ground crew of Malaysia Airlines at Narita Airport for their outstanding

For EVERY checkpoint we came across towards, it was like watching the Japanese

ground crew run a relay race. As our first runner came across her friend stationed

at a different checkpoint, that friend would then continue running with us. Guiding

us to the next checkpoint, only to tag up with another attendant who then guided us

to another checkpoint again, and again, until gate 98.

As we arrived at a checkpoint where the signboard gallantly displayed 'Gate 98'.

we breathed a sigh of relief.

An attendant even helped my elderly father with his "hand carry" during the run.

At the end of our ordeal, we were greeted by a small party of 5 attendants, one of

whom looked like their manager and they sashayed us into the plane, where the

smiling faces of the crew of MH71 welcomed us. We apologized to the crew for

    being late.

The senior flight attendant smiled and greeted us with a reassuring tone "Welcome

aboard, and don't worry. You're on the flight now."

We had a comfortable flight and reached Kuala Lumpur on time at 3.30 am.

However, one of our suitcases was missing. We then reported to LOST and

FOUND and filled in the required form. The attendant promised to call us when

the missing suitcase arrived stating that it would be delivered to our home. To our

wonderful surprise the suitcase arrived at 11.30 that same ysia Airlines counter.

The team of Japanese check-in attendants who seemed to be expecting us quickly
