Downtown Dubai, UAE
The Burj Khalifa is the tallest tower in the world, and at
the iconic heart of the Dubai story. The tower stands at
828m tall, with 167 usable floors, with a mixed use model
of hotels, commercial, residential and leisure facilities, all
incorporated in this unique environment.
The Burj Khalifa was awarded to COFELY BESIX in 2009
to commence services as part of the pre-opening and
handover from construction to operations. As part of this
project, COFELY BESIX supported the client property team
to assist in the closing out of snags prior to the structuring
of the maintenance service delivery.
The contract has two principal parts - the interim services
and a three year service contract to undertake the
operations and maintenance of the electrical, mechanical
and HVAC systems in the tower. Our team of around 120
technicians, engineers and managers operate seven days
a week, 24-hours a day to ensure the tower in maintained
to world-class standards. In this extremely demanding
environment, COFELY BESIX provides an effective,
seamless and unobtrusive daily reactive, corrective and
preventive maintenance to the complex facility.
