One South Broad Street Philadelphia PA 19107 May 11, 2015 Dear Mr. Kohn, I was pleased to discover through your website that Kohn Swift & Graf, P.C. has been practicing law in Philadelphia for over 40 years. I am currently a senior at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, majoring in International Business with an interest in Legal Studies. After completing my undergraduate program, I plan to obtain my J.D MBA. I am seeking an internship, to begin in August, within a law firm that specializes in class action and other complex commercial litigation. Kohn Swift & Graf P.C. would be the perfect firm to gain hands on experience in the area of class action lawsuits while I contribute any help to the firm, as needed. While completing assignments for International Business, my coursework consisted of not only reviewing, but also analyzing complex legal documents and drawing inferences from the legal information. For example, recently I reviewed the ChevronTexaco vs. Ecuador lawsuit; outlining the different rights and royalties that each prospective client would attain, and evaluating the cases presented by both the plaintiff and defendant. This is where I learned of Kohn Swift & Graf P.C. and the firm’s involvement in the case. My interest grew due to the fact that Kohn Swift & Graf P.C. does not pursue litigations based on compensation alone but also the moral matter surrounding a particular case. I also gained experience with research and analysis while visiting Parliament in London, UK. I researched the agreement details of the Treaty of London, reporting the data and any current changes to the student ambassadors and leader of my group. In addition, upon returning to the U.S I compiled a 10-page analysis on the causes of international hate crimes and proposed solutions. Furthermore, I currently serve as a liaison between the finance department at my job, Enclara Pharmacia, and over 20 courier offices requesting patient records. I first verify that the courier firms have clearance to access the patient’s medical information before discussing the proper release paperwork.

May 11, 2015Dear Mr. Kohn,

I was pleased to discover through your website that Kohn Swift & Graf, P.C. has been practicing law in Philadelphiafor over 40 years. I am currently a senior at Temple Universitys Fox School of Business, majoring in International Business with an interest in Legal Studies.

This is where I learned of Kohn Swift & Graf P.C. and the firms involvement in the case.

I first verify that the courier firms have clearance to access the patients medical information before discussing the proper release paperwork.

I am confident that my understanding of some legal concepts, my experience abroad and in my major, and my ability to thoroughly research and analyze information would make me a great candidate for a legal internship within Kohn Swift & Graf P.C. I look forward to hearing from you. I can be reached via email at [email protected] if additional information is requested. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Catherine Amira Young
