Never Before ~ Never AgainThe Owl Creek Ranch Black Angus cow herd has been developed over the past twenty years, slowly with care — no extremes, no fads, using low scoring pap-tested AI and “walking” bulls. Superior consistent genetics take time to develop and prove. Through stringent record keeping and data collection, we identify the type of cattle needed for long-term profitability.

These are not ‘show’ cattle; they work and live at 8200’. Commercial cattle operators need efficient cattle that return premiums. With the data we’ve collected and the herd bulls selected, we’re confident our genetics will earn premiums.

Our goal has been to produce females that are fertile, moderate frame, feed efficient, functionally sound and produce ample milkto raise a heavy calf.

The mothers of our 2011 and 2012 sale bulls sell. These two bull sales had a combined average of $3,832.00

Heifer calves from the Owl Creek Ranch cow herd have been awarded ten Grand Champion banners and two Reserve Champion banners over the past nine years at the prestigious National Western Stock Show Commer-cial Carload heifer show.

Owl Creek Ranch heifers have won this show for the past four consecutive years.

Sinclair Mountain Pass 4P138 has been the cornerstone sire in the Culver Cattle breeding program. Mountain Pass daughters are moderate frame, deep bodied, easy fleshing females with attractive udders and are outstanding milk producers. Over 500 females selling that are direct daughters or granddaughters of Mountain Pass!
