Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

I am hoping you all had a great week. As this busy month of October comes to an end, we step in to another busy time of year. Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approach so we appreciate all the support you give us during this time. Every year many of you may notice Knights selling Christmas cards after Mass. Unfortunately, the Knights will not be doing it this year, and hopefully next year we will be back selling cards. The cards we had from last year will be sold at the gift shop. This is a beautiful time of year and the Knights are happy to be part of this wonderful Parish.

God bless, Jose Garcia, Grand Knight

IMPROVEMENT FUND COLLECTION Next weekend we will have the second collection for the Improvement Fund. Our buildings are aging and are in need of repairs and improvements. The roof in Gurnell Hall is in bad shape and will soon be replaced. The list of much needed improvements continues to grow. Your help allows us to keep up with the costs of the repairs. Please remember that this fund is separate than the funds for the daily operation of the parish. We are very thankful for your generosity and continued support!

FAITHWORKS NEWS Calling all High School youth! Looking for a fun thing to do with friends and food on Monday nights? Have you ever considered joining Faithworks!? The Faithworks!' mission is to joyfully foster the faith of the high school community of Saint Patrick in a safe environment, shaping a global generation of youth. Keep up to date on what we're doing by joining our closed group on Facebook, “FAITHWORKS! Saint Patrick High School Youth Group, Placerville, CA", or by contacting Jeannine Delgado at 530-622-7692 or [email protected]. We meet 6:30 p.m. on Monday nights in Cantwell Hall. We will be decorating the Advent Giving Tree on October 30th. Hope to see you there!!!

THANK YOU TO THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

We would like to give a shout-out to the Knights of Columbus for repairing the water leak at the Saint Patrick Cemetery. The leak was noticed a few weeks back. Anthony Arjil was made aware of the leak and he was quick to respond to the need of repairing the pipe. He called a few Knights and within a short time Bill Shaffer, Manuel Salazar, and Marty Soth were out at the cemetery to do the work. In less than two days, the job was complete. We are extremely grateful for the Knights’ donation of their time, talent and materials! Thank you!!!
