1. Parents must be married in the Catholic Church. 2. If a couple is civilly married or unmarried, they must

make an appointment to meet with the Pastor before they can have their children baptized.

3. Children age 6 and under will receive the sacrament of Baptism. From 7 and above, they will receive all three sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation).

4. Parents must bring a copy of their marriage certificate from the Church where they were married.

5. Godparents must be practicing Catholics. You may have a proxy for a godparent/s who may be unable to come.

6. To have your child baptized, contact Andrea at 272-3463 to schedule a Baptism Preparation Class.

7. Baptism in English is every 3rd Sunday of each month after the 10am Mass.

1. Los padres deben estar casados por la Iglesia catolica. 2. Si la pareja está casada civilmente o no están casados,

ellos deben hacer una cita para reunirse con el Pastor antes de bautizar a su hijo(s).

W A N T T O B E A N A LT A R S E RV E R ?

Come to the Altar Server Training from July 9-12, 9 - 10:30am. If you are a registered parishioner of St. Bede and your son/daughter has received First Holy Communion & at least entering 4th grade, complete & submit the registration form found in the church vestibule to the Parish Office before the training, no later than Monday, July 9th. This is a must for current altar servers to attend for retraining.

S O R S U M CO R D A (Summer Youth Retreat Update)

I am getting very excited as we get closer to the retreat that we have planned for this Summer. We have been preparing for this retreat since I arrived at Saint Bede last Summer. You, the parish at large, have been so generous that I am proud to announce we have almost thirty members of our youth group attend the retreat. Thank you to all who helped us through your prayers and financial support.

I will be holding a meeting at 6:30PM on MONDAY, JULY 9, for all participating in the July retreat, SORSUM CORDA, along with their parents. I ask that all attend. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact me by email, frnicholas@stbede.org.
