catholic charities madison 2016 spring postcard newsletter
TRANSCRIPT
Established in 1946 as the Catholic Welfare Bureau, our agency began serving kids and families with an International and Domestic Adoption program. By 1970 our name changed to Catholic Social Services and we expanded our programs to include Infant Foster Care, Pregnancy Counseling, and Family Mental Health Counseling.
In 1989 we finally became Catholic Charities and had been assisting children and adults with disabilities for 14 years with the addition of the Developmental Disability Counseling program. Since that time we added nearly 20 services to help kids in the 11 counties of the Diocese of Madison. Our most recent programs are Building Bridges and Behavioral Health in Schools to help children who have immediate mental health needs.
