Elvis is in the building…a musical comedy based on Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” and built around over 20 Elvis Presley hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “A Little Less Conversation,” “Love Me Tender,” and “Jailhouse Rock.” From the book by Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, the story takes place in 1955, where a small, depressed town gets a visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing roustabout who helps them discover the magic of romance and the power of rock ‘n roll.

Curb launched the careers of numerous stars on his independent record label and earned multi-faceted success as a songwriter, producer and record company owner. Patrons should arrive no less than 10 minutes prior to curtain time

for seating. No seating after a performance begins except at the discretion of the house manager.

They engage in an emotional battle of wills and their struggle between body and soul, anarchy and order, and lust and love leads to profound changes in both their lives.

Transient Motel By Bryce Hammond Exhibition Opens: April 26-July 26News-Journal CenterLobby Area FREE ADMISSIONTransient Motel is a research-based exhibition that investigates economically disadvantaged people inhabiting dilapidated motels. Within geographical locations similar to Daytona Beach, these oceanfront, special-event based, tourist cities provide material for an interactive installation of appropriated objects, architectural models and paintings.
