Course Description; The following topics will be covered in the on-line training: 12 – Reliability Principles, 7 questions addressed by the Reliability-Centered Maintenance Process, Proactive Predictive & Preventive strategies (On condition, scheduled restoration, Scheduled Discard, & Failure Finding), Equipment Failure Patterns, Equipment Functions, Functional Failures, Failure Modes and Effects spreadsheet, Criteria used for selecting a Reliability-Based Program (RCM, MTA, CII, & RCFA), and Failure Criteria for determining the right maintenance strategy by using the Decision Diagram.

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Facilitator

Overview of the course Course teaches how to facilitate Reliability Centered Maintenance to develop technically based Asset Maintenance Programs. Note: the pre-requisite for this course is the Introduction to Physical Asset Management RCM 3 day course. This course is a 10 day duration and consists of applying RCM under the guidance of the tutor.

The Role of the RCM Facilitator Case Study 1: Carry out an analysis of a predefined asset

following the RCM structured methodology. Participants break into teams and take turns facilitating under the guidance of the tutor.

Case Study 2: Zero Base Case Study. Setting up and facilitating an actual RCM on a real asset. Participants break into teams and take turns facilitating under the guidance of the tutor.
