The Cable Factory based in Novi Sad was established in 1921 and is the oldest cable factory in the Balkans.

We supply a wide range of energy cables and conductors, telecommunication cables and cables for electronic equipment to suit various industrial needs of construction industry, mining, shipbuilding, as well as oil, transportation, automotive industry and other industries.

Capacity

Novkabel production plant occupies an area of almost 40 hectares in the industrial zone of Novi Sad with the production capacity of up to 35.000 tons per year.

Research and development

From its modest beginnings in the product range, with the work of generations of employees on the development of new products, the factory has achieved about 16.000 registered products. NOVKABEL experts dedicate significant amounts of time to follow and implement the latest technical and technological achievements in cable production.

Quality

We carry out all quality control procedures to ensure that all raw materials meet intake specifications and follow production until the dispatch of finished products; therefore, the investment into control equipment is one of Novkabel’s priorities.

Cables for oil wells represent a particular group of special cables intended for use in oil well conditions.

They are used to power electric pumps located on the bottom of an oil well.

They work under high-pressure, in aggressive environments and at elevated temperatures.

They are manufactured in one length corresponding the depth of an oil well where it is to be installed.

They are made either round or flat, for rated voltages of 3 kV, 4 kV and 5 kV

most commonly accoring to specifications of manufacturers themselves.

Conditions in wells are the main criteria for selecting the cable type.

Polypropylene is used as the isolation material for lower operating temperatures.

EPDM, which is especially made rubber compound based on ethylene propylene rubber

with improved electrical properties, resistant to high temperatures and oil, is used as the isolation material

for middle and higher operating temperatures.

An important feature of these cable is a solid connection between conductors and isolation.
