Through vineyards and groves you reach what is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, Neive, town of ancient origin and of great wine tradition.Possibility to visit: Regional Enoteca of Barbaresco, site of the ancient medieval tower (Barbaresco), the historic center of Neive, small museum of the largest producer of grappa Romano Levi, visit and tastings at wineries.

Roero: honey and Arneis trailThe route is in the area known as Roero, located on the banks orographic left of the river Tanaro. You pass through small villages perched on the hills that have spectacular presence of "fortresses", geological formations of great visual impact.The products of this region are fresh and fruity white wines, vegetables and honey.Possibility to visit: Regional Enoteca of Roero (Canale), fruit and vegetable farms with tasting sessions of seasonal products, visits and tastings at wineries.

The Sacred Mount of San Francesco and Lake OrtaThe Sacred Mount of Orta is a path that winds through 20 chapels dedicated to episodes from the life of St. Francis, nestled in the rolling foothills of the promontory above Lake Orta. Sacred and profane meet in a fascinating place: on the one hand the religious spirit of the Sacred Mountain of Orta, on the other hand the wonder of the views and the final panorama of Lake Orta, known as one of the most romantic lakes in Italy. Pearl of the lake is Orta San Giulio and the island of the same name that faces. Orta San Giulio is a small treasure trove of history and art, a medieval village that offers elegant buildings, narrow streets and features stone buildings. From the harbor you can reach the picturesque island of San Giulio, a small island dominated by a Romanesque church and a monastery.

The Sacro Monte di VaralloIt was built through the initiative of the Blessed Bernardino Caimi who wanted a small replica of the significant places of Palestine. Other influential personalities of the time participated to the project, including S. Carlo Borromeo. The complex consists of about 50 buildings, decorated with magnificent frescoes and groups of statues by important and well-known artists (including Gaudenzio Ferrari).

The Sacro Monte di OropaConsists of 17 chapels full of terracotta statues. It was built in opposition to the Protestant “reform” between 1620 and 1720 through the Alps as protection from the Lutheran threat coming from the north. The idea that inspired building the Oropa chapels arose, in part from climate of the Counter Reformation and from the effects of the pastoral activities undertaken by Carlo Borromeo.

The Sanctuary of Crea and Sacro Monte + Casale MonferratoBuilt in the late 16th century as an add on to the existing Sanctuary dedicated to Eusebio, the Sacred Mountain of Crea includes 23 chapels and 5 hermitages scattered throughout the forest and connected by trails. This fascinating landscape is complemented by a visit to the feature city of Casale Monferrato, rich with history and landmarks of considerable importance

Medieval village and fortress with Valentino Park

Valentino Park extends on the banks of the Po river close to the hill. At the center of the park

of the eponymous Castle that Maria Cristina of France, the first Madama Reale, used as the

favourite home by staying long with her court. The Valentino Park hosted the International

Expositions as that of 1884 when they took the form the current medieval fortress and

Holy Shroud - Exposition 2015, from April 19 to June 24, 2015

The Shroud is a linen sheet whose weave is a herringbone pattern made in the ancient Egypt

manner before Christ. It measures 442 cm long by 113 cm high plus a 8 cm strip sewed

lengthwise. On the tissue there is a faint impression of an image, the frontal and dorsal one of a

man who suffered the death of crucifixion.

The image is surrounded by two black lines and singed by a number of shortcomings: they are

damage due to fire occurred in Chambéry in 1532. According to tradition, it is the sheet

mentioned in the Gospels which served to wrap the body of Jesus in the tomb .This tradition,

although it has found evidence from numerous scientific investigations on the Sheet, can not
