In addition to providing excellent performance, we demand that our trucks satisfy stringent environment-friendliness and economic efficiency standards. To what degree can we at Hino satisfy these expectations for trucks made for our times? The Hino 700 series embodies specific proposals that provide answers to this question. For example, its inline 6-cylinder E13C engine is first introduced in the Hino 700 series. The engine incorporates the latest EGR technology which complies with Japan’s world-class new long-term emissions regulation, as well as a multitude of emission reducing technologies such as its common rail injection system and oxidizing catalytic converter. The engine not only complies with EURO4 and US04, it has been refined to give reduced fuel consumption yet a high degree of acceleration. Other important and essential Hino features

are its aesthetically pleasing styling which blends in with natural and urban landscapes, and its driver’s cabin with its many features for reducing driver’s fatigue. The Hino 700 series’ durability and transport efficiency are highly refined. It is a clean and economical solution that meets the needs of truck operators. Its true value shines as a benchmark for trucks of the 21st century.

Designs that are grounded in excellent functionality are beautiful. The Hino 700 Series’ styling is enveloped in a beauty which derives from our pursuit of functionality and economic efficiency. Perhaps “versatile beauty” would be a better word to describe it than mere “functional beauty.” For example, the Hino 700 series’ cab is based on our “Grand Aerotech Design” technology which was developed through our efforts to achieve the highest levels of aerodynamic performance in the world. By rounding the cab’’s corners and minimizing gaps and steps, we were able to achieve outstanding aerodynamic performance with one of the best drag coefficient figures in the world. This state-of-the-art cab design lowers fuel consumption and is the product of repeated wind tunnel tests using actual vehicles. It is enveloped in a beautiful body that

blends in with natural and urban landscapes, and it consumes less fuel than conventional trucks. Reduced air resistance also means less noise in the cabin. These trucks are available in a broad range of variations including cargo truck, tractor and dump truck. Whichever version you choose, the Hino 700 series provides a beautiful styling and excellent economic efficiency that befits your corporate image.

Whether you call it a cockpit or a luxury space, the interior of the Hino 700 series has been developed to always provide a safe and comfortable environment for the driver. Its excellent field of vision from its high eye point and controls that are laid out to surround the driver ensure excellent operability and visibility. Additionally, the driver’s seat with its improved holding performance provides a relaxing environment and reduces driver’s fatigue. To be a truck friendly to both the environment and management

The E13C engine for the Hino 700 series is the product of Hino’s best low emissions technologies including EGR, common rail fuel injection systems, VGT and oxidizing catalytic converters, and complies with EURO 4 and US 04; making a major contribution to reducing air pollution. Its multi-stage transmission contributed as much as its engine’s lower fuel consumption in achieving improvements in fuel efficiency and reductions in CO2 emission, one of the causes of global warming. Additionally, the truck improves operational efficiency not only by reducing operating costs, but also through its ease of maintenance and the use of an oxidizing catalytic converter that does not require various additives.

The strenuous pursuit of operational and loading performance supports excellent transport efficiency.

The truck’s frame and tapered leaf springs were designed based on computer analyses of all aspects of this truck and offer the best loading efficiency. Both lightweight and exceptionally durable, this truck responds to the owner’s expectations regarding operational and loading performance. The tapered leaf springs also contribute to a more comfortable ride.

Everyday maintenance made easy.

Oil and water intakes and brake valves are located inside the large front panel so everyday inspection and maintenance tasks can be performed easily without tilting the cab. The oil and fuel filters are inverted for easy replacement and require only that the cab be tilted. The fuse box has been reduced in size and is located underneath the dashboard for easier fuse replacement.

Its robust and rigid lightweight chassis provides extra loading capacity and dynamic operational performance. The peace of mind and confidence users gain through its excellent performance are further reasons why the Hino 700 series can be considered to be the new benchmark.
